and is terraforming junk science?

im not talking about in 2015.
habitats could be built there. If we have people that can survive in habitats underwater here or in space even for extended periods of time then Im sure we could survive in specially designed habitats in that environment also

I don't think we will live on Mars but there is definitely a possiblility of sending people up there and building stuff. Human's can't actually live on Mars. There is a lot of radiation, no liquid water, an unstable atmoshphere, and a bunch of other things that wound't permit life. Terraforming would be impossible because of Mars's lack of atmosphere. I think we're better off on Earth.

Well, you know well the age old plan of God and your devils, and that the human race is only appointed some 6000 years after the birth of Adam, to rebel against GOD!!! You also know well that you have LOST, and that there will be NO terraforming, like you and the other 'fallen ones' try so long ago in your rebellion on earth! Humans will NEVER have to terraform any planet, which you know well, for God, your God as well Satan, will re-create this earth and sky after the Time of Jacobs Trouble, and you have ALL your little fun, and your time to tempt mankind is ALL over. Is what you and the other fallen ones did to Mars not bad enough, you now want to turn earth, once God's Paradise into another MARS!!! But I know that this one only speaks for you, but it amounts to the same thing!!! You answered your own question devil's advocate, that terraforming is truly JUNK science!!!
Man is destined to fulfil the plans of God, and it is WAR and destruction that THEY will see here on Earth first, and NOT any moves to another planet! God help the human race for there's even now talk of a future war, with missiles in Poland and radar units being placed in the Czech Republic by the United States and indeed the cold war with Russia is starting all over again!!!

I think that someday we will have a 'permanent outpost' on Mars (and on the Moon as well), but I doubt that either of them will ever become a 'suberb' of Earth ☺

Terraforming isn't really junk science, but it does require a planet that's far more similar to Earth than anything in this Solar system. But there may be other planets 'out there' that could be nicely terraformed.

But terraforming also raises a lot of ethical, moral, and philosophical questions as well.

No. Traveling from one country to another is expensive, how much more for traveling to another planet?

Well, kidding aside, I don't think that's possible. I know there has been studies made that man could live in Mars. Others believe it as an alternative solution to the overpopulation/overcrowding of the earth : to transport as many humans as possible. Oh well, these are all theories anyway.

It is possible that some of our species will actually do that. Terra forming is not science fiction, it is entirely possible and it will likely be a done deal before humans can live there.
