Considering very few questions have anything to do with actual political issues and more to do with bashing on party or the other. No wonder why people have little faith in government.

You could not be more wrong!

It is only *YOUR* party that engages in the total negative and ad hominem!

Our posts are always the *TRUTH*! It is just *YOUR* dumbing down of the electorate that makes politics such an awful disgusting endeavor! Your total hypocrisy is a disgrace, and your side is completely corrupt, and bent on destroying the Constitution!

First, united statesa. is quite provincial and maximum American substantial dailies, aside from the long island circumstances, purely supply the main scant interest to distant places politics. 2nd, the yank election, because of the fact the U. S. is the main helpful usa in the international, has an effect which would be felt international extensive. If Gordon Brown keeps his activity or if Mr. Cameron takes over, it incredibly won't have lots of an effect on something or all people outdoors of england and Crown territories. maximum individuals did no longer even pay interest to the Canadian elections of a few weeks in the past and that for the period of all risk might have probably had a miles better effect on the U. S..

I agree!! This site has become a good example of what is wrong with our political system. There is no honest dialog, just people trying to "score party points". Many of the people on this site act as if their party has provided them with the absolute answer to all questions.
In other words as opposed to the voters providing their politicians with individual opinions (which should be the basis for our political system), we have created this hive mentality where someone at the top tells us what we think and we follow blindly.

When you are cold and shivering and need to get a fire going cooperation is needed . Its not time to offer up wood in return later for some beef jerky or time to negotiate a deal with two people one with a lighter and one a book of matches for the better deal . The guy with the matches wants the area from 5-8 feet from the fire as his zone and the guy with the lighter offers to allow its use anytime if he can have some of the jerky and part of the reserved zone the guy with the matches has negotiated for .
In the long run everyone freezes to death unless some starts his own fire to which these idiots go and piss on so they can remain in charge of saving everyone .
Your fire might set the whole woods on fire and killl us all .

No one has ever said that YA answers was going to fix the world. It is a good forum to post your opinions and state your position.
There is way too much name calling and finger pointing here though. I appreciate good answers on both sides that don't finger point and bash.
And I doubt YA is the reason there is little faith in our government. People are disillusioned because our government doesn't seem to care about the majority of its citizens.

It may be representative of a part of the problem. I think a bigger problem is the extremely long campaigns and the amount of money and influence in Washington. Who do our elected officials really represent when they go to DC?
