I have a new friend who acts like she's on TV or in the movies where they just hang up without saying bye. It seems so strange to me. She'll say, "Ok, so I'll meet you there at 5:00. " And I find myself pulling away my phone to look at it in shock. She's not a rude or mean person at all...she just never says good-bye. It leaves me feeling unfinished and weird. Do you say good-bye?

I always say good-bye, bye, talk to you later, or something that indicates that the conversation has come to an end, however, my brother never says good-bye, he'll simply hang up the phone after his last thought. I've asked him about this and to my surprise he wasn't aware of it! Since, he has paid more attention and finds it a bit difficult to change his ways, but he is trying. So, if I were you I wouldn't take it personal; your friend like my brother probably isn't aware that she is coming across as rude.

I always say good bye, even if the other person is known to hang up quickly. I feel it is rude not to say good bye.

Yes, I say goodbye! It brings closure to the conversation..I wrap it up and then say goodbye.

"OK, well thanks for calling and I guess I'll talk to you later, OK, bye!"

Otherwise you are left with..."what....ok...?" I never understood why people did that on TV . Tell your friend how you feel about it, I had a friend that would just say "bye" when he was done and hang up. So, now he gives me a little more warning!

That is so funny, I always say good bye, it gives closure to the conversation. My husband just hangs up! I'll be still talking or whoever he's been on the phone with is and he's just like you said - click. It used to bug me, now it's mostly funny. I'll say, they were still talking (cause I can hear them) & he's like - oh well.!!

I almost always say bye, but once I just hung up on my friend Ryan and then I immediately realized I didn't say bye, so I called him back and he was like "Hello?" and I just said "Bye" and hung up again.

He was very confused and I still laugh.
