must be point of view. as a robot hobbyist i think it's great. of course i see it as an 'it', not a 'he'. it's just a fantastic piece of machinery that approximates a human fairly well.
the 'creap you out' comes from the fact that it's not quite right yet. I bet if they get to the point that a robot interface doesn't strike you as 'incorrect' then it won't creep you out.
