I just heard a new story that the crime rate is rising.
If Rudy were president, I am certain the crime rate would be lowered and a lot of things would be cleaned up. NYC improved immensely under his watch.
He is pretty much middle of the road so I don't think he would make side as heated, though he might get hurt by extremists from both sides.
He is pretty logical in the way he handles things.
He has what is most important in a president, natural leadership ability and a sense of calm resoluteness.

i think of Rudy is a competent guy, yet i don't think of He could make a competent president in any respect. i think of he's purely too headstrong and opinionated to be an efficient President. i don't think of any republican stands an excellent gamble at winning the white homestead after the mess that George W. has gotten his social gathering, the country and the international in and that's a shame through fact that we could get a much less qualified democrat for a president via default. George W. is a shame to our u . s . and the faster he's long gone the extra efficient.

I lived in NYC during his term in office, and he did a lousy job. Instead of paying attention to issues like improving our schools, equipping our police and firefighters, fixing our infrastructure and protecting us against terrorism after the first WTC attack showed we were targets, he concentrated on squeegee guys, "offensive" artworks and ads on taxis that insulted him. Yes, crime went down while he was mayor, but crime went down across the country in that period. Was he responsible for that? If not for 9/11, he'd be a forgotten figure today. But because he didn't panic or run and hide until it was safe to come out, he's now seen as a hero. The man is totally unqualified to be President of the United States.

As to who I would vote for, sadly, I have no idea at this point.

He is an opportunist. He is personally profitting from 911, and he lacks moral character. He is bought and paid for by the highest bidder.

He would make a horrible President, just like the other "top tier" candidates from both major parties.

think hell be an extension of the bush style. hes republican for chrissake!!!
that he put order in the streets of nyc is a myth. that iniciative came from the previous mayor. giuliani only continued and mantained an effective policy.
now, hes so called leadership on 911. dont u remember that bush also was called an outstanding leader by then? so i guess anybody would have done seemingly great things at that disastrous time.

His lack of federal experience is paramount in my mind for not voting for him. He is also not liked by the citizens of New York. When people in one's home state don't like a politician that speaks volumes. I also don't like his personality. He seems cynical and uncaring. The 9/11 incident is his only one crowning glory but it is only a small part of his life and the history of his career.

The man is a typical opportunist, and will tell you what he thinks you want to hear instead of speaking the truth.

I'd like to see somebody who doesn't make a whole lot of changes.
