All of the retarded banter I read on this board and hear from their mouths is the same crap that I hear Rush and his cronies spout. Did it ever occur to any of them to read both sides of the story and then form your own unbiased opinion. The republican party feeds them lines, and they go around like robots repeating the one sentence argument for each issue. And then if you back them in a corner by giving 10 reasons why what they say is not right, they jump to Bill Clinton.

Just because your party deems it so does not mean it's so. I am an independent/democrat but I support the death penalty, and am against the government messing with legal gun owners. I am just tired of these human tape recorders who regurgitate what their moronic talk show hosts feed them without ever even researching the topic on their own. Their is my rant, have at it boys and girls!

Just as I figured the first two answers didn't answer the question. USA to the fourth power, I don't even know the people you mentioned. And if the question is biased why did you bother to reply?

I have obviously touched a nerve, I have gotten crybaby, wussie, and hippy so far. This is what they devolve to when they face a challenge. I don't have a problem with someone disagreeing with me, but just be able to argue the point without getting defensive and calling names. Try to be a grown up guys.

Gerafalop, I will concede their are some liberals who do this, but not even close to the number of repubs. I am not pointing just to Rush either. I work with 5 varying degrees of republicans, they all listen to different media outlets, some watch Fox, some listen to Rush, and some just talk to their conservative friends. But somehow they all have the same opinion on every topic. My independent or democrat friends disagree on a number of topics and agree on some. This leads me to believe their is more group think going on in the conservative party.

Stereotypeme...I don't live in NY jack, maybe the conservatives up their are free thinkers, I live in eastern North Carolina where conservatism is deep. Deeper than you will ever know living in NY. In fact according to some conservatives down here NY's conservatives are liberal. Get over yourself, I read on my own and make it a point not to watch the news.

You are wrong for the most part as many Conservatives have already broken ranks with the current administration over this immigration issue Including Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and many more.
And even though the RNC is asking them to shut up about it they are refusing to do so.
El Bush is down to a 45% approval rating among Conservatives within his own party, so there is your answer.
There are of course myrmidons on both sides that support their "leaders" no matter what they do for what they believe is the greater good.
But these ego centric politicians need to be sent message every now and then to remind them that they are supposed to be representatives and not leaders.
So if that means breaking ranks then that is what needs to be done and that applies to both parties.
If you want to be the kind of person that needs leadership then freedom is not for you.

You cannot even see the irony in your stereotypical question, yet you pretend to be an independent. Everyone has varying opinions. I am a fiscal conservative, environmentalist, social activist, death penalty opponent, believe the welfare state creates poverty, and when the Democrats regulate our economy (which is exactly what they do in NY state), they are deciding who makes the money (isn't that ironic?). Every single conservative friend I know has a varying opinion. The media is designed to inflame your emotions, and you are too gullible to understand.

Conservatives in general have factual and moral reasoning for their opinions. That being the case, opinions among conservatives follow the same general line. Facts are facts and moral foundations are set in the Bible. Those things don't change so the opinions of conservatives are going to follow closely to those lines. Rush just happens to be very articulate in explaining conservatism and that threatens the liberal mentality. If you despise Rush for the ability to rally the conservative base then more power to Rush because he is doing his job well.

Why are you making up your own mind about your opinions, but we're not? I don't even watch Rush. I hear liberals repeat 'lines' and talking points as well. This is just an immature crybaby rant from someone who would rather insult the opposition than accept that not everyone agrees with him.

:::"retarded banter" "human tape recorders" "robots" ??
You didn't want an intelligent debate. I'm not sure you'd recognize one if it hit you in the face.

I agree with you, but I am also tired of questions that encourage bashing of the so called other side. I am like you my beliefs are not strictly toward anyone side, and for that matter I don't see how anyone could believe exactly as they are told they should believe. Maybe because i was taught to think for myself.

I utilize several different news sources and then I form my own opinions.

To be fair you have to admit that liberals do the same thing.

Conservastives are reactioneries with little curiosity or empathy for others points of view except their own based on pride, military might, and some sense of liberalism is undermining america. McCarthy gone 21st century.

There is only one giant Oz that spews out violent hatred and murder and war. It is the Great GWB, admired by many of his little followers, controlled by the Almighty Dollar, ordained by God. There is little room for dissent in the conservative movement. And Unfortunately, our beloved democrats are too scared to stand up to them. Its tragic, really.
