of course it's ok. in fact, you're match should not only be your partner romantically, but also your best friend.
the problem is that your friend might not have the same feelings as you. telling him how you feel might strain your friendship. it's quite a thorny situation.
you may want to feel him out about how he feels toward you before spilling the beans on this. regardless of his response, you'll need to do what's best for you. if you don't think the feelings are mutual, you may need to step back for a while to get to a place where you can be his friend but not in love with him.

Not only is it okay, it's an awesome place to start if you feel the same way about each other.
If you don't, it can get extremely awkward.
Go ahead and tell him, but be prepared for either a "yes" or "no," and be sure you can live with it.

No it's okay for you to fall in love with your friend I fell in love with my friend and it's better I think for you to fall for your friends because you already know their likes and dislikes so you don't have to spend the first 3 months trying to get to know them.

yeah its fine to fall in love w/ ur best friend, i did but then decided that i was never going to date her cuz it would just be bad cuz if we broke up then we might not speak to each other ever again, so think wisely before u go and date ur best friend.

yes it is ok for you to fall in love with your best friend. just make sure that you don't confuse being in love with him with just loving him. being in love with him involves sexual relationship. loving him does not involve sexual relationship.
