Greatly depends on the choice and my state of mind. I'm very impulsive and have mood disorders(not that that's a good excuse, just an influence.) When I think someone is out to get me, I do whatever I can to make their life miserable. I usually try to be a kind giving person to those who haven't wronged me, but when I am desperate or very angry I become greedy. So all in all I'd have to go with #1.

Female, 27

1) I don't believe I was placed on this Earth to serve myself. I try to live a God-fearing Christian life. The Bible teaches that it's not about what we do for ourselves, it's how we use our talents to help others. That thought doesn't cross my mind.

2) I don't care what others think of me. Only what God thinks.

3) I always hope that I am doing the right thing. If it is not immediately clear whether I'm making the right choice, I will think about it and pray about it until I know what to do. This is the option that factors in the most for my decision-making.

Male, 30

The affect of a decision on both myself as well as others around me contribute the most to making the decision. Not exactly how it is read, but I choose the first as it is the closest.

I would say that all of these factors make at least some impact on the decisions I make, however, the most influence goes to how it will affect me and others.

All choices I make are a balance between 1 and 3.

Screw other people's opinions when I'm well-off and righteous.

"What is the right thing to do?"

What other people think has never figured much into the way I live my life, and I have tried to avoid the 'what's in it for me' mindset, as that way lies a life of disappointment.

Not really how it affects me, but "What will it do for my kids"

I could care less of what people think

If it's for the better then yea,

As long as I have my kids, & there happy
