Science is the systematic and quantitative study of the physical world. Technology is the study of techniques on how to make useful stuff in it. As to their relationship, they are categorically different things, yet depend heavily on each other. Knowing a bit of science goes a long way in developing technology because science is needed to understand how stuff works. Likewise, technology is needed to develop the tools and techniques for experimenting on the physical world in the pursuit of science.
