I would give a hobo a meal, a ride if needed, and loving care.Take care of every need. It could be you.

Well, first I would not call him or her a "hobo"...
I would give him a long term stay at the Betty Ford Clinic and find his family (usually homeless people are completely disconnected from them, usually because of substance abuse or mental illness)...if he or she was mentally ill, I would give them an extended stay at a very nice mental clinic...

***My long term vision*****
Encouragement, Self Worth and Someone to Believe in them. That they can get back up again. I would attempt to provide them with a habitat and a place where they could possibly be given another chance at life, to be rehabilitated and have a shot at getting there lives back on track.
** Right now***I buy them food, and give them a couple of dollars, I listen and try to empathize and be an ear to listen.

All the hobos I've known liked booze, some like dope but all of them liked booze, so......ripple ( do they still sell ripple?) or four feathers would be the gift that keeps on giving to help the rough souls living!
