Firstly 12x -6 = 11x. You need to remove x from one side, so forth, 12x-11x -6 = 11x-11x. Then you have 1x -6 = 0. Now to remove the -6. If you wan't to get rid of this, you have to +6 to both sides. So therefore 1x -6 +6 = +6. 1x = 6. simple?
