Sounds overly simple, but I would have to say get on an exercise routine. It triggers all sorts of chemicals that make you feel good all day, not to mention making you look better and feel more confident. This will help transform your life from the state is now.
Relying on drugs is really just a dead end because you become dependent on them, not to mention there are side effects.

Im amazed at the negative responses some 'not so understanding people have given you', so far about you being a kid and feeling as if you may have depression. But there have also been good answers by some people who seem to know what they are talking about. If you are in your teens then it is usual to experience bodily changes that make you feel a little down now and again. There are different degrees of depression and different types also. Depending on your situation, there may be no cure, but sometimes having positive caring people around you can help lift your self esteem. To one very stupid person who answered you question about a cure and said "a bullet" is exactly the kind of stupid answer that would be given by another person who does not realise the serious nature of depression and how some people really suffer. Making comments as such, only shows their ignorance. Not having a father would be tough and growing up with that loss in your life, certainly would be hard. Maybe if you talk with your mum and or a school counsellor, you may be able to take things from there. Please take care what ever you do as i remember growing up and how down Id get at times. It can be very tough. You really need the support of family and friends.

Hypothyroidism, a slow acting Thyroid can cause depression.
I was depressed for about 10 years and was finally diagnosed. The depression went away very quickly. With a simple prescription, but it is for life.
I have read that you can get liquid Iodine at the health food store. That is what is missing, Iodine. I am going to try it once I finish my prescription. The difference has been amazing in terms of how I emotionally feel every day.
I have researched this more than I care to say and one thing that causes damage to the Thyroid/iodine problem is FLUORIDE. THINK ABOUT IT. Nearly every toothpaste we use has Fluoride in it. I personally have gone to fluoride free toothpaste.
Do research on this subject and talk to your doctor about it and or check the health food store for the iodine supplements.
Good Luck to you, I truly understand.

If it has lasted longer than a few weeks seek a doctor. Anti-depressants can be effective. Therapy has also been shown to help with depression, especially cognitive-behavioral therapy. If you are not interested in this advice, try exercising at least 4 times a week for at least a half hour. Hobbies that distract you can also help, and of course, good friendships and understanding family members can help quite a bit.

Well if your just feeling depressed and aren't exactly clinically depressed then just try exercise and eating well.
Otherwise you need to speak to your doctor and get some therapy, dont be scared of it, even though nobody likes the sound of therapy - 25% of people will suffer from depression in there life time so its not unusual.
Hope you feel ok soon, i know what its like and i can full sympathise x

How old are you? For every depression there is a cause.
Try Rescue Remedy mother tincture - 2 drops on the tongue twice daily for one month. It will rid minor depression problems. If you have serious problems, you need to see a psychiatrist immediately.

you may be able to find what you are looking for at Silky Scents. They have a free recipe section that is easy to follow. Also, if you go to their main page and click on their already made blends they have a couple for depression or you can use one from the recipe section.
