Play your silly little political games all you want , but don't waltz around our country saying that the war on terror is a 'bumper sticker' . Because it's not . And trying to diminish that reality is a set-up for disaster . Edwards support numbers fell 8% in just the last few weeks !! Why ? What happened in the last few weeks ? He made that comment , and more than once too .
Don't get me wrong , I 'm happy to see him drop like a rock , but still the fact remains .. . . . . .No American should be prancing about the country talking nonsense like that . Sure , he's got the right to be stupid , but we have the right to disagree with stupidity .

What do you think of Mr. John 'there is no war on terror' Edwards ?

The candidacy of John Edwards is a joke and has been from the start. This man cannot open his mouth without inserting his foot. I think his low numbers are a combination of serious and politically suicidal guffaws. It really doesn't matter whether the war on terror is real or not. What matters is that the majority of people believe it is real and harbor fear as a result. Politics is more about perception than anything else. John Edwards lacks the foresight to see the folly of his own statements. In a time of war people are not going to vote for a candidate who appears to be antiwar and anti-military, even when they may not agree with the action in general. Edwards has made himself an also ran. The final nail in his coffin when was he led protests on a day set aside to remember and honor the fallen. Is there really anyone left out there who believes that this man will protect them if elected? I doubt it!

This statement doesn't concern me in the least - I am more concerned the Edwards finds this statement apparently detrimental to Giuliani and beneficial to him. We need to either fight this war or get out and eventually accept the terrorists' demands or start all over again with another war later on against this ideology. I really think it is naive to think that the terrorists are going to just disappear into the sun set if we scurry off with our tails between our legs. Our previous inaction and no effective response to terror attacks only resulted in more terror attacks - and arguable culminated in the events of 9/11.

Oh, I couldn't be happier.
He must not have gotten the memo that the rest of the democratic party has switched positions AGAIN on terrorism and the war & they now believe it exists. Poor guy, he should check his e-mail more often, LOL
They had to cut him loose anyway, he was making them look bad - well, worse than they always make themselves
I'm still waiting for some jacka$$ to speak out and say this latest attempted attack was set up by Bush. Some people just don't get it.

First let me say that I am not a liberal and do not support them in anything at anytime, however If I were a liberal, I would NOT vote for John Edwards the most important reason being that with his wife stricken with cancer, no matter what he says to the American people, his focus will be on her, as it should be, and not the issues facing our great land, as far as his comments on the "bumper sticker" issue, he as well as any liberal will say anything to get attention, they cannot possibly have the answers, or they would be up on the empire state building shouting them at the top of their lungs. That goes for Shrillary, Barrack and all of the other libby losers.

The War on Terror, like the War on Drugs IS a bumper sticker. Here's why:

Like Drugs, you will never be able to eliminate all terrorist groups/members/anyone who dislikes the US foreign policy decisions. As we've seen with Al-qaeda operatives, when you kill one, there's someone else who hates our actions just as much as the last guy waiting to take his place. The very name of it, "the War on Terror" implies that through war, we can end violence.

Okay.

Also, the War on Terror is such a broad term, that it leaves the definiton of 'terror' up to debate as to which or what actions constitute "terrorism". Take Darfur for example, there is a genocide going on there. I'm sure many people there live in terror daily, worrying that today may be their last. That front in the "War on Terror" seems to be of no concern to us.

The "War on Terror" has been used as a justification for the Iraq war, and that precedent is not a good one. Under the "War on Terror" façade any war can be justified, because "we're battling the terrorists". Nearly 5 years on, there is still no connection between Iraq and the events of September 11. Prior to the war, Iraq was supposedly a training ground for Al-queda operatives. Bush, in a recent press conference, made it known that Al-qaeda operatives did not begin entering Iraq until 2005. That's TWO YEARS after we invaded. We opened the door for them to waltz right in and get set up.

So kudos to John Edwards...The War on Terror is a bumper sticker, and you bought it: hook, line and sinker.

Hmm Ron Paul's numbers (when they post them) are running around 70% in the polls (when they allow his name in the polls) ..talk about Corp. media bias.

Ron Paul voted against the oil war..the first time and every time since, also he voted against the Patriot Act and clearly stated that he would never vote for any law he was not allowed to read first.

Who is John Edwards? someone that is going to lose and never had a chance.
"A People's Choice" when it came time to run.
Ron Paul's been an honest representative of "We the People" from day 1.

Also one last...Ron Paul knows there are terrorists out there...but he is the only one on record to admit why we really are their target...Our government keeps invading other countries..to secure oil reserves..kinda like global robbery.

I wish he would tell the families of the 9/11 victims that there is no war on terror...

I am sure they would be GLAD to hear it.

I think some of these candidates are so bad that it'd be better to take the average Joe off the street and make him president. Joe would have more common sense...

That quote you alluded to was taken out of context by you. What Edwards was talking about was that Bush and his administration are using the war on terror to justify policies that really have nothing to do with terrorism.
Edit: I take it you didn't like my truthful answer. So as usual you've resorted to slander to help protect your lies.
