Second, what you describe is not love, it is infatuation.
Love is a conscious decision. Love is deciding to do something that benefits another. Love is about giving. If you happen to be the recipient of another's love, then it can also be about receiving. But the love is in the giving.
Drop your expectations. Give with no need to get anything back.
