I was a child/teen in the 80's and I loved growing up in the era! People always say it was a "cheesy" decade and that the clothes we wore were tacky and loud. I disagree, I think we had more style and it was a "fun" decade for music, movies, fads etc.. Did we really look that bad?? Anyone here a fan of the 80's?

I was born in '80 and I really was able to 'grow up' during that period. I think that people look on 80s fashion as such b/c most generations have certain styles that come back (like bell bottoms, T-shirts with sayings, etc.). I've not seen any 80s styles that have come back...well, I guess black and pink being worn together could count!
Sorry. I digress. To answer your question, I don't think the clothes were *that* horrible. It was a sign of the times. I love 80s music! I also like the teen movies that came out during that time. Molly Ringwald was brilliant beyond her years! :-D I have a large 80s movie collection.
Consider me a fan!! LOL.

The colors were bright, the hair was big and the jeans were acid washed! I LOVE everything 80's. And 'cheesy' isn't a bad term in my opinion. The cheesier the better!
