I live in the mountains in darkest Africa and we get some magical electric storms. and winds an fog that swirls around the forrest. Its like the scenery in "The land that time forgot'' , you could expect King Kong to come around the mountain any minute some times you can just see the palm trees sticking out of the low lying fog and a full moon lighting up the peaks with an electric storm thrown in it really eerie.

No I hate thunderstorms. I am scared of the thunder and lightening. I was almost hit by lightening as a child when I was in a storm and trying to turn off the water at a neighbor's house. When a thunderstorm comes up I close all my blinds, turn out lights unplug everything or turn off things and cower in my chair with my cat close to me.

I've always loved thunderstorms, too. Dark and exciting. You can see it in the trees when one's approaching. The wind comes first and then the hard drops of rain and the rumble of thunder in the distance.
My Dad and I used to stand at the screen door and watch the storm together. Now, my fiance and I watch the storms - and comfort our dogs who do not enjoy the thunder.

Wehen one hears a thunderstorm we remember Wordsworth's poem'Gd is in the Heaven and all is rtght with the world.'In summer and wintr theworld around is just a backdrop. When the skies come roaring we become aware that the skies do exist. And another poet says that the thunder is a reassurance that god has not entirely forgotten us.The very fact that it comes from heavens above has a deep significance.

Yes~ I do it's so kool looking with all the flashes, I count the rumble's 1sec. 2sec. etc.. then I watch for the flashes, then I know how far away the storm is. The only time I don't thunderstorms is when, I have to be somewhere and get out. I go outside to watch them, if it's not raining to much. I love it before the rain starts.

Yes, I am like that also. The massive display of the Creative Forces is awesome. But if the lights go out for even 10 seconds I five clocks I have to reset. Darn.

I love thunderstorms in the day/evening, but not at night when I'm trying to sleep.

I TOO LOVE THUNDERSTORMS.
IT IS PRETTY DARK HERE TOO AND THE THUNDER ROLLS.
BUT MY CAT IS GOING BALLISTIC RIGHT NOW.
HE HAS A FEAR OF THEM. I BELIEVE THAT SOMEONE LEFT HIM OUT IN A STORM WHEN HE WAS SMALL OR SOMETHING. BEEN THIS WAY SENSE I GOT HIM.
