Only your doctor can answer that one. Everyone has different 'safe' levels.

3 years ago, I was diagnosed - hypertension with a reading of 160/100. I used to feel dizzy a lot, my legs had awful cramps, and levels were very low in my potassium, causing my fingers and toes to always cramp together. One day I started to feel really faint while I was driving with my daughter in the back seat and I passed out, hitting 3 cars and ending up in a ditch. That moment,I knew I had to do something because my meds weren't working. I heard about this diet from a friend and thought I'd give it a shot. The results have been remarkable. In just 21 days, I honestly can't remember feeling this good, my blood pressure went from 175/110 to 125/70.

A normal blood pressure (for both pregnant and non-pregnant people) is lower than 140 systolic and lower than 80 diastolic.

This is a borderline pressure, and you should be monitored closely for pregnancy induced hypertension or preeclampsia. There is nothing you can really do to prevent it from happening should you develop either of those conditions, so just make sure you keep all your appointments, and if possible, check your pressures in between appointments at those self-serve BP machines at the grocery store or the pharmacy.

Other signs of high pressures that you want to call your doctor about ASAP - dizziness, headaches, floaty-spots in your field of vision, swelling from water retention.

your pressure is fine, if the diastolic gets any higher, it might be cause for concern, but right now it is ok and u have nothing to worry about, my BP is 110 over 60 and its been like that through my whole pregnancy, but all women are different and everyone has their safe zone

You should ask your doctor. Being pregnant you can't afford to take any chances.

I would say normal, but in the high range. I think they start to "worry" when it gets above 136.

It's ok. It's a little borderline. If your OB wasn't concerned, I wouldn't worry about it. If they suggested you watch your salt intake, I would start doing that...
