Your baby is leaning directly on your sciatic nerve and it can cause some major pain. The same thing happened to me. They can't really do anything for it besides maybe induce your labor if you are in too much pain (and the baby is ready of course). I stuck it out for 2 weeks and it got to the point where I could hardly walk. The pain didn't go away until 3 days after my daughter was born. Good luck to you and hope your pain is bearable.

Just try to relax. If you can get in and out of the tub... Take a long hot bath. Also make sure you are sleeping on your side and not on your back. Sleeping on your back will cause lower back pain when you go to move. Use a pillow between your knees and that should help you from rolling over. I have been sleeping on the couch. That really helps!!!! If you are really worried call your Dr!!

I had that same problem at the end of my pregnancy - all the time. It's normal, but I know, very painful. It's a nerve in your back that the baby is probably sitting on. I would suggest looking in some pregnancy books, they have some suggestions on stretches that might help the pain loosen up a bit. I tried them and they did help. Goodluck

You are having muscle spasms. i know exactly how you are feeling I had the same thing. Baby is causing pressure everywhere and is sitting on everything you have inside of you. best thing you can do is do some stretching excersize and go for lots of walks and keep hydrating yourself with lots of water, milk and juice. But, also to be on the safe side call up the dr.
Welcome to mother hood...baby is already being a pain...next will come the "gray" hair...lol.
best of luck

Sounds like your sciatic nerve. Due to the pressure and growth, the weight you are carrying can cause pressure on it at night. Try finding a different position when you sleep and look up a few stretches you can do for the nerve pain. Good luck hun!

I remember that, it's when the baby is sitting on your nerves, I always fell asleep on my side but would wake up on my back and I think that had to do with it, dr always told me not to sleep on my back.
if you are still concerned just give your dr a call, gl to you and your new little one
