I have to take backup of few folders. well i am in delima to use combination of full/Incrementail Or full/differential.Istly i will take full but after that i have to schedule either incrementail or differentail. which one is best in the Live Business enviornment where files are being updated every day, every minute, every second.

Use full backups daily if you have the storage space on your tape. Use at least a 2 week rotation, and keep the previous nights backup tapes offsite... or at least NOT in the server room.
Do a test restore at least once a week to verify your backups are working correctly!!!!!!

if there aren't a lot of files - do a full - otherwise you have to do multiple restores to get all the files.
most people do weekly fulls and daily incrementals. Then you restore the full then every day's incremental.

The first time you run the backup you do a full backup. After that you do an incremental(a.k.a. differential).
We run backups daily.
