...buy a dog and name him "STAY" just so you could say, "Here Stay! Here Stay!" just so he would look at you funny and wonder if you wanted him to come to you or stay where he was?

Yes, I am the type of person who would totally do that just to see what the dog would do....Maybe even name it "NOW" so that when people came over to see me I could say "Come NOW" just to see what they thought I was REALLY talking about......makes you wonder, huh??

I'm not trying to be a square here, but wouldn't it make sense to name your pet something that would be pleasing for both you and him/her? If you're 13 I guess that's very amusing, but if you want a pet, you should want to love and respect it like any other person. You are putting yourself in the position of main provider for your animal, don't start off by being a dumbass.

Great idea--I hadn't thought of that before! Or maybe you can name the dog "cat" and get a cat and name him "dog". Then when company comes, you can call out "cat, come!" and a dog would show up.

If I were given a dog who happens to be the nastiest creature I came across with I'd name him LEAVE.
