Ok see ive been with my boyfriend on and off really for about two yrs and he always had issues on wearing protection. So ive been on 2 different types already which is (The PaTcH & The DePo ShOt) When I was 16 (heads up Im 20 now) but when i was 16 i was on the birth control patch when it first came to play and my First still got me pregnant!!! I did not go along with that pregnacy because i felt i was to young and i did not want to ruin my life with a child at a young age but obviously the patch did not work. But soon after my termination of my pregnacy when i was 16 i shortly got on the Shot now the shot did very well for me and i havent gotten pregnant once but i did gain about 50 pounds in weight and that killeddddd me so i got off about a year ago. My boyfriend still does not wear condoms and were both not ready for a child so im looking for a new method i can stay on until were really ready to have a lil me or him so can someone help me?

Thanks Keke!!!

Abstinence is always 100% affective, but if you have to have sex, then try the pill, although that is not 100% affective, your boyfriend should step up and wear a condom. Its not just your responsibility. The best thing for you to do at this point is talk to your doctor, and tell him/her your concerns, and together you can find the right BC for you.

ask your gyno about the IUD (IntraUterine Device). The clinics often don't mention it to younger patients, because it is viewed as a long term choice (it is effective for up to 10 years, but it can be removed at any time). Also, I've heard that docs don't recommend them to women who haven't yet given birth (assuming the cervix would be too tight), but they seem to forget that an abortion puts quite a strain on the cervix too.

Abstinence works 100% of the time! There are other ways to show your love and affection for each other without having sex.
