First of all, you need to know that the only way to lose your virginity is to have your vagina penetrated by a penis.

What you are talking about is a hymen being stretched. A hymen is a somewhat tough piece of skin partially covering the entrance to the vagina. Not every female has one or it might be so small that it's insignificant.

Using a tampon may stretch the hymen some, but you are still a virgin.

The problem is that many people continue century old customs and religious traditions that say a virgin should bleed the first time she has intercourse. Not every virgin does so even if she has never used a tampon, rode a horse, or any other thing that people tell you will take your virginity.

So, to restate the answer to your question, no a tampon cannot make you lose your virginity. Only have your vagina penetrated by a penis will make you lose your virginity.

Having sex means losing your virginity. Your hymen can be broken in a variety of ways and does not indicate virginity. Some girls (in rare cases) don't even have them. Tampons shouldn't mess with that anyway. Don't stress about it. If you want to try tampons, do it. They can be a lot more freeing than pads, especially during the summer.

I would say no. I used them from the time I was 11 at first only to go swimming then when I got a little older I used them all the time. When I had sex for the first time it was obvious that I was still a virgin until that moment because I started bleeding right away. I wouldn't worry about it if I were you.:-)

you've never had sexual intercourse, and you use a tampon, then yes, you are still a virgin. A virgin is someone who hasn't had sexual intercourse. Using a tampon may (although not commonly) rupture your hymen, which is also ruptured the first time a woman has sexual intercourse. But contrary to myth, a hymen is not an indicator of virginity. Plenty of virgins have barely-noticeable hymens; non-virgins may even have intact, though stretched, hymens.

If you think using a tampon has anything to do with virginity you need to get some education - a virgin is somone who has not had sexual intercourse - that is nothing to do with what you are concerned about - which I presume is inserting the tampon - that is not sexual intercourse!
So, NO using a tampon does not lose your virginity - having sex does.
