Humanely: poison.

not so humanely: a knife is very cheap. Stoning them to death
is a traditional, time honored way, of course. The Christian Holy Bible even endorses stoning.

This is my problem with the death penalty. Why do people want it to be humane. If this is the ultimate punishment for the worst of the worst criminals why should it be humane. If we are going to kill them for being evil, they should suffer as they die. If we want to be humane, we should not kill them, and in either case cost should not be a major factor. if some guy rapes and kills a little kid, I'll spend the 5 dollars to buy the knife they use to stab him to death.

I keep hearing that it's expensive also.

I am wondering how much it costs in America for a decent bracket and a few ropes?

I agree that it would be a good idea to give them the same method they gave their victim, but no! that would be cruel now wouldn't it?
We wouldn't want to breach the killers human rights, must make them as comfortable as possible..

Where did this idea of HUMANELY killing someone come from? The death penalty is something to be feared. It certainly shouldn't be a pleasant way to commit suicide.

The most cost effective thing to do is erect portable gallows in public arenas around the country. Sell tickets. This will clear the naional debt in zip time.

Those who need to be executed could be killed with a gun. Society does not murder, it punishes. Execution is a valid punishment as it protects society from further victims.

Life long imprisonment is a far more heinous cruelty.

"Humanely execute" is in itself an oxymoron. It can't be done. What's the cheapest way to murder somebody is really what you're asking is it not? Murder is murder is murder.
