The dude who mentioned Lary is right I think.
Another Yankee killer was Johnny Podres of the old Brooklyn Dodgers.

Ray Culp, Yankee Killer
Until Pedro Martinez hurled his 17-strikeout, one-hit gem in 1999, Ray Culp held a noble distinction in the annals of Red Sox history -- as the pitcher who had thrown the best game against New York in the Retrosheet era (post-1957).

That title was given to Bill Mazeroski of the Pirates when he ended the 1960 world series with a walk-off home run, in game 7, to beat the Yankees. We have all seen the replay many times on ESPN.

I have two answers.
1. Mariono Rivera, because he cost the Yankees the 04 world series, or...
2. David Ortiz for hitting countless walk offs off the yankees.
p.s. Rivera should go into the red sox hall of fame as the red sox best player ever. He was the best person on the red sox in the 04 playoffs. Thank You Rivera!!!!!!
