Check out www.boardgamegeek.com for more awesome games than you can ever play. The site includes multiple in-depth reviews by various members, as well as game rule questions, game recommendations, etc. The people on the site are very knowledgeable, speak intelligently, and are more than happy to help out someone unfamiliar with the territory of Eurogames (as they are collectively called). They can also help you locate local game stores that carry these types of games.

I was personally introduced to Eurogames with a game called Settlers of Catan. My favorites right now are that one, Puerto Rico, and Ticket to Ride: Europe. My whole family enjoys playing these three games a lot. BANG! is an excellent card game for 4-9 people.

There's other games that I've not had a chance to play, like Tigris and Euphrates, Caylus, Die Macher, and Power Grid that I'm rarin' to play.

In all seriousness, even if you don't read anything else in this answer, I really hope you take a gander at boardgamegeek.com. It will open your eyes to a completely different and awesome world of board gaming. The likes of games found at Toys 'R' Us, Target, Fred Meyer pale in comparison.

I will give you two of my faovorites. First of all, boggle is the most addicting game in the world. Everyone can play and with games that are only three minutes long everyone can try. (As long as they can spell) It is a word game where you try to make words out of a series of random letters on dice. It will never be the same game twice and a good thing, too cause you can play all night. But keep a dictionary handy. If you like scrabble, you will LOVE boggle!
Also, it as simple as this: Cranium is the best game in the whole world. It is the perfect game for people who loved all of the classics and can't choose between them. This is a mix of so many great ideas, and you have to successfully beat all of the different types of challenges in your team at least once to win. If you have never tried the cranium games, you have to start, now. It takes at least 4 people to play, but I would definately try to have at least 6. You will have so much fun!!! Please try these games. You will be glad that you asked the question!

I think Elyseholly and Jason T gave very good answers. Personally I lalso like some of the games mentioned by jinky williams - though they're a bit different from the ones you mention. He's right about the board games site he and Jason T mention. Try http://www.boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/5177 for a list of other games you might like - each mention of a game is followed by lots of comments which should give you a fair idea if you like it. And if you click on the name of a game it'll take you to much more info about that game - including more comments. Enjoy.

Quiddler by Set Enterprises, Take Stock by Z-Man Games, any of the Carcassonne series by Rio Grande Games, any of the Ticket to Ride series by Days of Wonder.

Check the most highly rated games at www.boardgamegeek.com but remember just because it's a highly rated game doesn't mean that your crowd will like it. Read the comments too.

If you like Pictionary, you will LOVE Cranium or Pop 5. These games are very similar to Pictionary, but they incorporate other aspects, such as acting, trivia, scuplting, etc to the usual drawing. Sometimes you are also required to draw with your eyes closed. Trust me.....if you like Pictionary, go buy one or both of these games! Have fun!

My daughter just got a game called What If. You have to select about 5 names of people you know and then you pose questions like what "What If so and so was a flower, what kind of flower would they be?" You have 5 multiple choice answers and the answer that gets the most votes wins. It can get pretty funny.

If you enjoy Sequence, my first recommendation would be for other Jax games.

In my house Kings in the Corner, Sequence Dice and Kazink are all popular Jax games, as well as Sequence. http://www.jaxgames.com/

In the same vein, Touche is also a popular game for us. http://www.boardgamegeek.com/publisher/335

And for a very thorough resource for games and game information, do not miss out on the Board Game Geek.

Happy gaming!
