I'm a girl and I don't go straight for the groin. The only reason I would do that is if I was being attacked by someone. I don't think it's right for girls to hurt boys that way just as a way to "get back" at them for doing something wrong.

Oh, a contentious issue. It is a bit unrealistic to consider that girls are punished less than boys. Try to understand that parents want to protect their daughter more than the son coz they may feel she is 'more fragile'. This leads to boys being subjected to more physical punishments whereas girls are more subjected to mental anguish. (sorry if that sounds sexist).

Girls are very smart and have obviously identified that the boy's groin area contains a number of sensitive "parts" (ahemm), this is not quite the same for a female. (her problems are of a different sort).

Regarding the Boy vs Girl issues raised, blame your parents, they are responsible for bringing you up within a given society-defined framework. In most societies, girls are considered physically weaker and must therefore be protected, while the boy must learn to accept pain, fight back and 'be a man'. This might explain, to a certain, limited extent, why boys are treated differently from girls, however it is a very complex issue in itself to which a wide variety of different things will also contribute - manners, ethics, societal pressures, stereotyping, mental state, family structure, health.... the list is near endless.

It's quite difficult being a parent of a child, when you bear these things in mind.

Hope this clarifies the problem a little

while equality exists there are still a few general rules of the sexes that have hung on. some of them are ok and others are kind of ridiculous.

boys(in general) are stronger ten girls...thats no sexism talking thats just nature. as such it remains a good rule to be a man and take the attacks or a woman or get away then to fight a female.

Although I say this in general as humans are all different and woman can become as strong and stronger then men. however in those cases the rules bend. if someone can hit like a man and even is its a female I say defend yourself.
men are becoming the victims of female domestic violence more and more often as time goes on.

I find that last part strange as woman often tell me that if woman ruled the world there would be less violence.

That's because movies have shown girls over and over that they can take a bigger guy down with that one move....if they do it right.

Some parents do ride their sons harder than their daughters and in some families it's the other way....it does depend.

I do think that often girls get away with crap that boys wouldn't and for sure the boy is more likely to get corporal punishment than the girls.

Wow! Where are you growing up? Sounds like a fairy-tale or something. In real life, girls get punished the same as boys for wrong-doing. In my experience it's the boys who get away with greater wrong than girls do.

Diversity rules! But it ain't always great.....

Just one more of the inadequacies of life. Women want to be equal, but only when it benefits them. Don't get me wrong. I would never be the one to hurt a woman, but at the same time; either they are more fragile, or they aren't.
