They are out there.

The trend is for PCIe as you know. They are and will be making future graphic cards that are Directx10 compliant. AGP will be here for a bit more. Finding the motherboards shouldn't be a problem. At least not for the next couple of years.

I am still an AGP holdout: Intel D865PERL, P4 3.4ghz, 4x512mb PC3200, HIS x1950 256mb IceQ AGP, etc.

For AMD, look for NF3 or Via chipset. For Intel look for i865 chipset. Asrock, Foxconn and ECS still have them.

BUT consider this. All new graphics cards are designed and made as a PCIe card. However, since there are still millions of PCs w/ AGP slot and many are itching to upgrade to be able to play new games, the card makers oblige. They put a bridge chip so that the PCIe card could be interfaced w/ AGP. The result is a costlier and higher wattage card (due to bridge chip).

Best to move up to the faster and cheaper PCIe interface.

AGP has passed its life really as PCIE (PCI Express) is the new standard. Yes there are still motherboards out there with AGP however for future upgrades would suggest going ahead with PCIE now to save cost in future. you can go to sites like www.newegg.com and specify motherboards by all kinds of specifications such as processor type (amd or intel) video card slot (agp or pcie) and even down to a specific type of memory to be used.

forget the AGP, go for motherboards with 16x PCIE slots. You wont regret it.

hope this helps
