Quite often actually. If I see it fall from someone's pocket or purse, I immediately let them know. If I find it on the ground, no owner in site, I pick it up and put it in the next charity collection box that I find.

Yes different amounts over the years £20 here £10 there. Just walking up the round there's a legend that finding money is a gift from your Guardian Angel. Nice thought each time I needed the money so maybe. However now if I see a lot of money I'd do like Jude and check out all routes and hand into the police station. My sister has done that before with over £150 before and thought it might belong to an old lady and it did. She got a reward though as her son was some big time lawyer or something like that and she got front row tickets to a gig to see Pink. Just goes to show that being honest and kind pays off.

I once found a hundred dollar bill on the ground at a gas station in Kentucky. I was glad I kept it because I was on a spontaneous trip to Tennessee with a couple of friends and we broke down coming home, and that ended up being the only money we had. Before that all I had was a gas station credit card, and we weren't anywhere near that station, and we were stranded for a day, so it payed for a hotel room for the night.

I have only found money on the ground on three occasions. The first time I found $100 which was really nice. The second time I was walking to a shop to buy a jacket for my son and I found $50 so that paid for the jacket!! And another time I found $10 which was blowing across the road.

Yes, I have founbd money on the ground and floor several times. And the money went right into my pocket. BUT If and this is IF someone did tell me they had lost some money and were able to prove to me that the money I found was theirs then I would give it back. I say this because if they saw me find it they could very easily say HEY, thats my money. OK, prove it, how much did I just pick up. And what is the denomination/s. I DID one time only find a wallet. Needless to say it had an ID in it as well as $700.00 cash money. Tempted but I did turn it in to the Town hall manager and the owner did come see me and gave me $100.00 cash reward.

I've probably found about a half dozen one dollar bills, and do remember finding a 10 and a 20 when I was a kid. This does not include the bills I "found" when I saw someone drop one.
I kept the bills I found where there was no one around to claim them, and spent them. The ones I saw drop I returned to the appropriate person.

Just the other day I thought , I know I don't have the money to waste but I am going into the dollar tree and buying candy and gum for treats for the kids that ride my bus.
I was heading for the candy Isle and there was a 20 on the carpet, I guess that was telling me it was good that I wasn't being selfish with what little money I had huh!♥j

I once found a woman's wallet full of hundred dollar bills (15 of them to be exact) outside of a fabric store in Tucson, AZ. After reviewing the ID, I went into the store and asked the manager to page the person. When the lady came to see what was up, I handed it to her, cash intact, and told her where I found it. She was pissed at ME and walked away, all huffy. Made me wish I'd just kept it... At the time I sure could have used the money. Oh well.

Usually I just find coins but once, I found $20 and then a few weeks later, I found another $20. I used both for souvenirs when I was on vacation. I'm still hoping to find $100 or more one of these days. That would be awesome...well for me not for the person who lost it.

My friend and I once found two 100 dollar bills at a gas station. We went to go inside to turn it in, but a family came up to us and said that they just dropped a few 100 dollar bills. We gave them their money back, and as a reward for honesty they gave us 5 bucks each. Which is not as much as 100s, but it was honest. ^^
