i want to be able to make and save enough money to send my little sister to college and for my parents to have a nice house

Now it's my kids and husband. Before them I thought I was unfulfilled because I didn't have the right job or the right car but now that I have them I worry about other things that make all those material things seem irrelevant. Are my kids happy? Did they eat enough good things? Did I do a good job today as a mother? Could I have done better?

When I think about my own moans and gripes like not having enough time to myself or getting a lie in I think back to the time when I was single and compare how I felt to now, and my family motivates me more than I could have ever imagined.

My motivation in life is just to be an example to everyone in my community and in the world. By bettering myself and being the best that I can, I can say I have helped make a difference in the world and I really think that's the best goal one can have. This world is in true need of a turn-around with so many negative things going on. Our only hope is our children. What better way to help them help the world if not by showing good examples and being good role models? What they are being taught is to act like gangsters from the street and act like h*es, to be careless and lazy and not care about their education and future. No. Totally the wrong way to raise a child. But if you want a change, it begins with you.

a very weird one here, but:

my motivation(s) are:

to see my step-daughter thrive and lead the best life she can wherever she chooses it,

to find the enlightenment enough for me to find out what I want with my life for myself, and to gain as much understanding of the world and the people around me as I can

To keep my wife from ending up on a self-destructive cycle because of her Schizophrenia and Fibromyalgia and make her as strong emotionally as I can within my limitations

And to find the most beneficial means I can of co-existing with the voice in my head in a symbiotic kinda way, not to "get rid of it".

Pretty lame, but that's what drives me

Toodles

Nice question!
Hmmm, I would say what motivates me is the fact I want my family and friends to be proud of me. I always want to be the best, do my best. Even if I lose, I wanna be the best loser.

The fulfillment of one's purpose in life is not about worldly standards of success, it is about fidelity.
