I felt like I could solve all my families problems. Free everyone I knew from the strain of needing things. Open a shelter for the poor and offer medicines to the children. I honestly felt like I had to share my money with the world. It's funny how $150 can seem like so much when you've never had self earned money before.

Congratulations on your first paycheck! I know how I felt, and that was rich! Its worth going out and spending that money if you're not used to getting that amount from your parents. Without sounding like an old man, 22 years young, try to save some of that money, put it to the side. If you get paid into a bank account, you should try to set up an account which you can deposit some of your earnings, make sure money goes out to that account the day that you get paid though, that way, you'll never notice that its gone cause it was never there.
You should, to some degree, enjoy it too. Life is far too short to be taken seriously.
With the remaining money, I would highly recommend:
-Getting drunk (of course, if you are of legal age to do this)
-Buying clothes (always makes you feel better, look better, and you don't get a hangover)
-Taking your parents out for a meal. A sensible one, because they will be much more likely to lend you money when you need it!
Enjoy your first paycheck though!

OMG It's been YEARS since I got my first paycheck, I dont even remember!
I was about 15 and I worked at Red Earth, a cosmetic shop. It was probably only for like $100, and I'm sure I blew it in like 5 minutes.

Back then, we didn't actually get paychecks. They paid us in salt (considered valuable at that time). Guess I'm old.

I felt like a bada**! I talked about it at every opportunity. "Yeah, I'll be over in a little while, first I've got to go cash my check."
"Oh, I was cashing my check today and..."

i just feel like the world was in my hands, I was 16 (last year), i bought a ps2 a tv and took my sisters to have fun in one of those arcade centers....
