Preumably the millennium bridge that crosses from Newcastle to Gateshead? Or the milliennium bridge that crosses the Thames in London?
In the North East I'd say that Durham Cathedral is fairly well known
or of course Trimdon Labour Club which has found so much fame by virtue of its associations with Tony Blair!

There are lots of landmarks in Yorkshire' but the 'angel' is very prominent. I don't even know where the Millenium Bridge is

The Sage building? Durham castle and cathedral? And perhaps now, Alnwick etc where they shot Harry Potter. Though for me the Angel of the North has it.

No and the Angel of the North doesn't wobble.
How about Durham Cathedral? Lindisfarne? Hadrian's Wall?
