Or something along those lines. I mean, when people all over the world think of the English language they think of the USA. We made that language cool and legit and the world dominator it now has become. Who's with me?

For all you naysay repliers. You Europe people only think of it becuase England is so close. I guarentee if you surveyed a majority of non-english speaking people and foreigners to english speaking countries they would say that the english language reminds them more of americans and the USA. You brits have that funny accent and are hard to understand.

To the girl who said America only thinks of itself.... Is that why we donate and do world aid and hunger relief and other forms of international aid 10 fold what any other country even attempts? If it wasnt for America all of you Europeans would be under nazi rule. So how bout a thank you? We might have come from England, but we left there and beat them down cuz the goverment was so tyranical (spelling).

Anyway, let me not say Americans don't even speak good English. That would not tell good of my favourite writers from New York Times, Wall Street Journals, Chicago Tribunes, and so on. But really, most ESL teachers from the US that I've seen in China really don't know English. They can hardly write any interesting article in a standard and constructive English. They can't even spell some words. Of course, the educated ones, like AP writers impress me with their stylish writings. Though, they are not all Americans. Many of them are immigrants that made US great today.

Or perhaps people in the USA think of the USA when they think of the English language...

Perhaps if Americans have made up the English language, other than the English they would be allowed to take credit for it.

No we did when we owned 36.6 million km² of the worlds landmass. All you do is spell it wrong. Half of the people living in America don't even peak it anyway.
