Shalom cheverim,
When the jews lived in Europe, looked what happened to them! In the Soviet Union look what happened to them? In every country there are anti-semites and the Jews are always considered as foreigners, vulnerable to attack and, well, we all know.
Jews cannot live anywhere in the Middle East other than Israel because it is too dangerous despite a long history of peace between Jews and Arabs until the Israel question arose.
The Jews are the majority in Israel and yet no Arab nation other than Egypt will recognise the legitimacy of the state of Israel.
So where are the Jews supposed to go? Can someone tell me....
Shalom und gutes voch!

To the first answerer:- congratulations, your attitude just proves the point that the Jews really do need their own state and homeland, I feel sorry for people like you.

The jews are a nation of people with a religion, judaism, you cannot separate the nation and the religion.....

For one reason or another, Jews have been hunted down for at least 2000 years, mainly because they have what everyone else would like to have - a strong sense of community and family. They will never die out, they are a very strong race of people, it makes no matter which country they live in, they will survive.

This is an age-old question which, sadly, still has not been given a definite answer. Unfortunately, we do not live in a world of tolerance or understanding, especially not where religious beliefs are held in high regard. Although the arguments over land rights and entitlements are alleged by both sides to be based on religious scriptures which supposedly grant either side the right to ownership of said land, anyone with half an ounce of common sense will see through that and understand that it once again merely human greed and arrogance which is behind all the tension and violence. Religion is, as always, little more than a scapegoat for despicable behaviour. It has a long history of that. Even today, people are dying and suffering because of the "My God is better than your God" mentality.
As far as Jews are concerned, why must we keep coming back to this time and time again. I don't mean to come across as anti-semitic or anti anything for that matter, but why is the plight of the Jews always portrayed as Jewish people being the eternal victims? Everywhere they go, they seem to bring with them the baggage of past persecution as a valid reason for being perceived as eternal victims of everything bad that ever happens to them. Is anyone actually naive enough to say that the fighting and killing has only ever been a one-sided conflict?
History has shown clearly that by staying put and fighting back, the war and hatred will never cease, and can only get worse. Wouldn't it be better for all concerned to perhaps admit defeat and settle elsewhere? That may seem to be a cowards way out, but where is the bravery when women and children are killed in their homes, all in the name of some age-old argument over land which, for all extents and purposes, is little more than barren desert and rubble-strewn streets?
As for the "Where can we live?" question, the answer is simple. Anywhere you please. If you seek a better life, why would you wish to live in the Middle East anyway? There is no future there, other than more intolerance and more in-fighting. You are free to live anywhere else in the world other than where the Arabs don't want you. That leaves an extremely large range of places for you to go and live. There are huge Jewish populations pretty much everywhere in the world.
Get out into the world, and INTEGRATE when you get there. The sooner you stop with the "Oh poor me, I'm Jewish" attitude, the sooner people will accept you. Be proud of who and what you are, but don't forget that to be accepted, you must also accept. In this big bad world, EVERYONE has problems and worries and regrets and pain. It's not solely the domain of the Jew. Realise this, and embrace the world with an open mind and most importantly a forward-thinking mind, and you will prosper. Fail in this, and you will forever be doomed to repeat the misery of the past.
Good luck !!

They can go to live in UK, USA or Malta but don't take another country and say it's yours.
By the way as an Egyptian I tell you we don't like Israel beside us at all. It's not a normal country it's like a war company who make war for money or on behalf of US. Official agreement will never change the truth that Israel is a violent country. It's normal that no one is comfortable to have a vulgar or a dangerous neighbour. I'm telling you my opinion as an Egyptian.

Jews can live wherever they please. This does not mean they should take the land of others and build a wall around the Palestinians while ethnically cleansing the indigenous people of Palestine. No one is saying the Jews cannot live there. They are objecting to their inhuman practices that people of any religion should and do frown upon.

As Judaism is a religion and not a nationality, you can live wherever you like but obviously there are areas of the world that don't tolerate Jews so avoid those places. The worse thing that any group of people can do is set themselves aside from other religions, races etc.

I really must correct an earlier comment someone has made about jews not integrating enough. If you check the history books, you'll find that in pre-Nazi Germany, the jews were totally assimilated. Yet they were still murdered when the Nazis came to power.
To suggest that jews are persecuted because they don't mix with other religions is absurd, and just blaming the victim. Jews mix just as much, if not more, than muslim groups, especially in the UK.

Israel is the only place for the Jews. Look at our history, it always comes back to Israel. We don't need the arab nations to recognise our right. We don't need the UN to recgnise our right and we don't need any other nation to recognise our right. I just wish that more Jews would recognise our right and move here...
Israel belongs to us on the condition that we keep the Torah here. It doesn't mean that it has to easy but it's true nevertheless.
In the end all the Jews will end up in Israel. Wait and see. It's our home and our natural place to be.

If Jews had integrated more with the societies they lived in perhaps they would never have had this situtation develop. Lets face it the religion has to take some of the blame for this situation rather than the people. Where jews have integrated fully they live happily with their neighbours - does that not tell you something. One can say the same thing about other religions too.

I wish the rest of civilisation were only half as nice.
