Why? The answer is that he lived in a lighthouse. And when he off the lights,there was an accident. Gettit!!!!!!!

i knew this one...
he is the guard of the lighthouse.. that night before he slept, he tuned out the beacon lights.. that caused ships to crash into the bay.. many people died.. the next day when he realised what damage that one step of his had caused and cost him the lives of many people..he was sad
