i've been swimming consistently ever since i was little and i just stopped 2 months ago. now i have a break out of pimples on ONLY my FOREHEAD. why? i don't have it anywhere else at all. i dont have bangs or use any hair products or makeup either. i've tried the biore strips, self heating mask, neutrogena deep cleanser, st. ives scrub and a lot more but none seems to work. most of it is jus sore redish bumps on my forehead. not totally pimples. you know. how do i prevent them from reoccuring?

Here are the best skin care tips i've ever recieved in my life and they have changed my skin completely (as in my skin is now flawless, except when i occasionally deviate from the routine):
drink 8-10 glasses of water a day, depending on the amount of physical activity you go through in a day.
exfoliate every other day, St ives is great for that!! but be gentle with your skin
moisturize your skin after you clean it or whenever it feels dry.
every time i feel a pimple coming on my face i immediately drink 2 full glasses of water and it goes away, you can try that too.
also exercise regularly. run a mile a day and do some simple stretches.
go to bed at 10 and wake up at six. it makes a huuuge difference. i only started doing that last week and it's amazing.
one more thing. eat well. nothing extreme, no dieting or anything just well balanced meals. veggies at lunch and dinner. fruit at least twice a day. get plenty of protein. and cut down on salt and sugar. limit yourself to one pint of ice cream a week. when you are making food for yourself or ordering at a restaurant ask for as little salt as possible.

For years your forehead has been getting the brunt of a chlorine bath every day(?) so the skin has addapted to try and close the pores and keep in the oil to protect the skin, and you expect it to go back to 'normal' so quickly??

You have tried so many different things in the last few months; don't you think it would be a good idea to give your skin a break and a chance to sort itself out?

How old are you and are you a boy or girl?? these things matter as well...
Generally speaking I would continue with a gentle cleansing and mousturizing regime with a little gentle forehead massage .

well i had that problem too. i used to have pimples only on my forehead and like i was so embarrassed but then i found the reason why i had those pimples. the reason is that the pores of your skin have to breathe. especially during teenage years i haven't understand totally but the main point is that the skin has not the ability to breathe so it produces those pimples. all those creams that you know from commercials are rubbish the only solution is to wash your face with the classical soap first thing in the mourning later on in the noon and before you go to bed. when i did that believe me the results were that now i have the best skin in my class. i also used this product from shiseido which is called Pureness foaming cleansing fluid and has sth like french written like this: mousse nettoyant.
i used that like i told you 3 times day and after a month or sht my skin was clean and after wards i used regular soap once my problem was over. but really don't use those creams and stuff like that they make things worse.
this process helped me so i hope it will help you too.

I have severe acne and scar easily too. So I feel your pain. I found this website, and they have essential oil blends that they tell you how and what to mix it with to help heal your acne. That one is oily on your face, but it really works! And the other one is in the free recipe section to help get rid of acne scars. That one really works, but you don't see the results over night... you have to be patient. It worked on me, and my face was pretty bad. On that same page, they also have acne mask.
