Hi there

The cavity for the washing machine at the place I have just started renting is unusually small, being pretty much exactly the width of a washing machine (59.5-60cm) I could wedge one in there but it wont have clearance or be very easy to get out.

Can anyone recommend one which is a fraction smaller? I can't find one at all.

It's an under the counter cavity so top loaders and stackers are out.

Thanks for the ideas but I've looked at loads in the last few days and theyre all the same size grrr

I don't think you will find one a fraction smaller because they are all much of a standard size.
There is an automatic that is smaller than a standard but it is quite expensive and will only wash a small amount.
Unfortunately, I cannot remember the make. I have just searched the John Lewis website and they do not have one listed, no doubt they can get it to order. I think you will find a small one a hindrance in the end. If you have the room, stick in a full size one.
Do not buy from Currys/Comet. If the thing goes wrong they do not want to know.

they are actually not low fee. yet i might propose Maytag, in 39 years we've had in common terms 3 gadgets of Maytag washer/dryers. The final set replaced into new final year. So 2 gadgets lasted 38 years. No upkeep. look at scratch and dent for deals. in case you propose in one unit, look at entertainment motor vehicle shops. Many motor residences have the only unit combination washer dryers. i visit declare extra often than no longer that they take continuously to do a small load.

What about a top-loader washing machine...usually the same load size but the machine is slimmer.

Do they hae stackables in your country. The Dryers is on top of the washer. Had one at my old house and did a great job. Plus it could squeeze into a small space.
