Not Necessarily, Synthetic Shampoos Have Detergents That Have Been Engineered To Remove Just The Excess Oil Without Stripping The Hair And Scalp. Most "So-Called" Organic Shampoos Use The Same Detergents As All the Others - They Just Add "Exotic" Ingredients Like "Coneflower Extract" Or "Cherry Bark Extract" Just Check The Labels Against The Non-Organic Shampoos (Ammonium Laurel Or Laureth Sulphate, Sodium Laurel Or Laureth Sulphate, Cocoamide DEA Or MEA Cocoamidopropyl Betaine) These Are The Same Detergents That Most Shampoos Use. If You Want A Gentler Shampoo Choose Ones That Use These Detergents - Decyl Or Lauryl Polyglucose, Lauryl Or Decyl Glucoside, Amphoteric -2, These Are Very Gentle "Organic" Detergents Made From Corn Syrup A Renewable Product and Totally "Biodegradable"

I don't know about this being totally organic, but the Body Shop has this great rainforest shampoo and conditioner that works very well. And it's not that expensive. You should try it out! I love it!

The absolute best is the new brand called Organix.

Organix has organic active ingredients and is sulfate free so it wont dry out your hair, plus...it smells awesome! They have different collections for different hair types which are all amazing! You can get Organix at Target, Albertsons, Kroger, Duane Reade, Safeway, etc. You'll love it!
