They have several jobs, they do reconnaissance of chemical, biological, and nuclear contamination, Decontamination of personal and equipment after an attack.
Smoke screens for concealment of maneuvers.
And training other soldiers in gear ad tactics to survive a nuclear, biological, and chemical attack.
