It's purely psychological really.

Men who are "bad" and have that attitude are considered masculine and attractive. Most nice guys end up suffering because of this. You should see some of the topics posted online, 51, 42, 38 year old men who are extremely nice and never even dated or had a girlfriend.

Plus it's kind of a thing of the new age, even if none of their friends have a "bad boy" boyfriend, they still will want one because look at all this crap online and they probably DO have friends who have bad boy types.

Because all of us somewhere inside yearn to take a risk, to feel excitement, thrill and passion, to feel free, wild and alive. Sometimes, bad boy can give you that - temporarily anyway. Most nice girls will end up marrying the good guy though and that ends up being much more valuable in the long term. Second to that is the cadds aka badboys. The main two reasons is that the bad boy adds zip and pop to daily life. An element of danger. It is like having a really fly car with crappy mechanics. They also think they are "The One". That gals that is so super that they can turn him from his destructive ways. The car they passed up in the 1st place. The thugish rough neck is like the rollercoaster ride. Alway the feeling of slight but maybe not real danger. The rebel who has power and goes outside authority or rule, and someone who can be a champion in a fight to defend them. If you are not a thug or famous, and of average looks or less. Why would any man have to treat a woman with respect or treat her with any decency when there are 5 or more women waiting in the wings to get on his arm, in spite knowing how he treated the girl(s) before her, because they seen it with the last 12 girls he was with?
