The true shock is that the kingdom of heaven does not come after death, it is here and now. If you are a Christian, then you should already know that Jesus said Hell does not exist. We are all infinte and eternal, death is neither a beginning nor an end.

I don't know if an atheist will be shocked after they die, but myself, I'm still in shock from being born. I was very surprised and shocked that day. So shocked that I looked like a fetus until I was 13 years-old.

Sure I would be but it would be more like an "oh, so it does exist, interesting" rather than "Oh no, I was wrong the entire time!"

Because remember, we didnt say it didnt exist, we said we werent sure if it did.

Well someone above really likes long posts: in essence he has the same argument of the watchmaker and pascal's wager. There are good arguments against those two arguments although i doubt the author of that article bothered to research any of athiestic stances. Furthermore, not all athiests believe in scientists.

They likely won't be the only ones shocked. Many will be shocked to find where they've gone.

I have expirienced death (and come back obviously) and its kind of like watching yourself and you get a chance to say good bye to your body and then...thats the end of if all.
Out of body expiriences arent restricted to death either.
It has nothing to do with deities or religion so I dont understand the logic behind the question.

I think most atheists will be shocked if they do anything after they are dead. Dead means you don't do anything. Well, your body decays but it's not like you'd be aware of it.

Shocked? I don't think that does it justice. to say horrified, don't quite do it either. and that will be just the beginning, eternity if forever.
