She will probably start to nest. She will look for a dark, safe place to have her little ones, so you can prepare a large cardboard box for her to use. If you can only leave part of one side open, line it with newspapers and have some soft fabric for her. Show it to her, maybe placing some treat inside to tempt her in. Don't force her.
She will constantly groom herself, especially near her tail, to make sure she is as clean as possible. She will pop in and out of the place she chooses, to make sure its OK, and she will re-arrange the inside until it meets her approval.
Closer to the birth, she will stop eating, so her tummy isn't full while she's pushing. She may arch herself, then sit and groom, and meow a fair bit, then do it all again. That means they are on there way.
Most cats do the rest pretty well on their own. There shouldn't be too long between kittens, about 30 minutes, at a guess. If she struggles too long, or not much is happening after a couple of hours (of straining), call a vet.

A pregnant cat about to give birth will start looking for a dark comfortable spot where she feels safe in giving birth. I always set up a corner in a closet with some blankets or bedding where I don't mind blood getting on it and everything - I use a closet that isn't being used for anything else since this does tend to get messy. If you gently show kitty the nice dark comfortable spot you've made - she will probably take to that. If this is an outdoor cat - there's no telling - she may try to go outside somewhere to give birth. Make a nice soft place and mostly leave kitty alone - that will help.

First of all, all cats act different when they are ready to give birth. Some cats will get anti-social and will want to be alone and will start searching for a place to make a nest and have their kittens. Other cats will just act as they usually do, and have the kittens where ever works best for them when its time.
The best thing you can do is to choose something like a box on the floor in a closet, or some other safe and secluded place to make your cat a bed. Make sure that she has food and water close by since she wont want to venture too far from her bed when she is in labor.
As far as the birth goes, she can pretty much handle that on her own. Its instinct for her. But I am sure that she wouldn't mind if you stood by and watched just to make sure that everything works out alright.

Ooh i remember the first time my cat gave birth but before i made her a box and put old close inside and then i started playing with her and then her stomach and her legs started moving like a wave and then she started meowing (really loud).I thought she wanted to use the bathroom and i put her inside the litter-box then she ran off of it and my mom comes and drags her to the box to give birth in.And then she covered the place where she was giving birth, with a towel and then we turned off the light and we went away and the next morning we came 5 small little kittens were there..

Cats gestate for eight weeks. There isn't any strategy to inform while they're competent to deliver delivery. The will regularly start looking for out a sheltered location within the final week or so, wherein they may be able to deliver delivery correctly.

the other answers are pretty much what I was going to say...I just want to reinforce the dark....Baby kittens need to be born in a dark area...to protect thier eyes. So don't be shining a bright light on her to watch....I used to sit in very, very...dimly lit closet when my cats were born and watch...but I have a close relationship with my cats...some like you to be there...some rather do it themselves. Just give her time.
