Please re-post with make and model of the LCD. It doesn't sound like a "computer monitor" to me. They normally have only VGA and / or DVI connectors.

LCD's normally have a VGA connector,(5 pins staggered across three rows), or DVI-I,(eight pins across three rows), sounds like you're lookin' at a Din connector, but this only has eight pins. Come back, and give us the maker, and model number.
