okay, i havent been in the "dating scene" for 3 years because 3 years ago i dated my last girlfriend for 13 months and just havent been dating since. there is a girl i really like i met when i started a job a few months ago. at first we were both flirty towards each other but she had a boyfriend who she was having trouble with. now she is single and she knows i like her and her friend told me she thinks she likes me. but what ever. to just even start to begin dating im so confused about now. i dont talk much unless under the right circumstances. lately when i talk to her she always with her best friend and in the past never liked talking to a girl when she with her friends while im trying to date her. but what do i say to her so i know that she likes me and wants something back in return like dating?

How about inviting her and her friend out to a coffee after work? Start off as friends first and see if you have any mutual interests. By inviting her friend along as well, there would be no pressure on either of you and you could all sit down and enjoy some nice light conversation. This would also make it more comfortable for her as she would have someone with her she knew. If she enjoyed your company, she'll be more likely to try and meet you alone in the future.

Ask her to lunch, to coffee, or for a couple of drinks after work. Talk awhile and you will feel more comfortable about asking her for a real date.

I was in your same situation. Ask her on a date. Not actually start dating, but just a regular date. Let her know your position and she can help you get back into it. Just relax and be yourself.
