Have you seen this??
http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2007/02/070228-mars-warming.html

It's an article that states Global Warming is occurring on Mars at the same rate as on Earth. Don't you see what's going on here? It's an OBVIOUS conspiracy lead by the GWB White House to lure us into believing that GLOBAL WARMING HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HUMANITY! How low will they stoop to prove their point? I bet that GW actually launched CO2 gas and other pollutants into Mars's atmosphere to raise the temperature there just to prove his point! AND I bet he must have threated National Geographic to publish this article. NASA is run by the Vice President you know.
Come on, who's with me??

(ah...the subtle art of sarcasm...)

Tik - I know you disagree, but did you read the article? It's pretty compelling evidence that Global Warming is not the fault of mankind. (And you can't question my source because it's National Geographic and NASA)

Oh for the rest of you yahooligans, I'm a fundie Xian who doesn't believe Global Warming is caused by humanity and YES, I have read "State of Fear," great book, I recommend it to everyone.

At last intelligent life. Of course global warming is the natural order of things. What I think is so absolutely arrogant of humankind is to think that we puny humans can stop or alter the force of Mother nature. The earth is changing everyday and yes it seems to be getting hotter but it's a natural phenomenon not an act of mankind. don't we love to give ourselves credit for things that are so much larger than we are.

BooG1- I know GW looks like he is getting on in years but I ASSURE you he had no responsibility in taking out the "last " of the dinosaurs. LOL!!!

I have a link to a website that also shows clear proof that GW and the Christians are responsible for the last of the dinosaurs. It is every bit as compelling as the evidence that global warming is the catastrophe that the media make it to be.
Send a long self addressed envelope to me with your info on a $20 bill or just call BR-549 for evidence that cries for a verdict.

You know, I don't necessarily think we have ANYTHING to do with global warming. The CO2 we put into the atmosphere is fractional compared to all of the gases that occur naturally. We know that geologically speaking the earth has been much warmer than it is today, but...

that doesn't mean we should be irresponsible about our dominion over the earth. We have a responsibility to all people and creatures and should do everything we can to make sure we make this world is a better, sustainable place to live.

sorry, i'm completely NOT with you.

Neither National Geographic nor NASA are subject to peer review. The IPCC report is very clear. The heat trapping properties of gases are KNOWN, and the rising concentrations are KNOWN. If you do a little math with the radiation budget of the planet, you get a temperature disequilibrium that equals *warming*.

haha... Mars hardly even Has an atmosphere... only a true ignoramus would believe that...

*edit*
mm... well, there certainly is a possibility that solar flares are causing some of it, but it is undeniable that pollutants released my humans cause at least part of it. and we do know that our pollutants have other negative effects. CFC's are known to react with ozone (O3), leaving oxygen (O2) and not ozone. Ozone is what protects us from UV rays. And all the smog over most major cities can't be good for anyone.

We believe in global warming in a big way.

The book of Revelation prophesied about it happening i have no doubt that the stage is being set for the prophecy's of Revelation are about to be fulfilled.

And that includes global warming.

At first I wondered what your scientific/political question was doing in religion and spirtuality. Then I realized that for some environmentalists, their opinions are a matter of faith, not science. They swallow each other's stories with enthusiasm just like other fundamentalists. How about a little objectivity and honesty in politics as well as religion? Then we can talk instead of having opinions shoved at us.

The problem that I have with this is that there is a "christian" ( or at least a fundi) position on it. There is no logical basis, other than the economic self interest of the oil industry, for denial, there is no religious basis for denial. The only basis christians have for denial is that they have so tied themselves to the republican party that the big oil interests that fund it have become their new prophets.
When chrsitians complaine about the seperation of church and state they should take a good look at what collaboration is turning them into.

Whether it is natural or human made, isn't it still global warming...

A rise of 10 degrees Fahrenheit will result in terrible famine, death, and extinctions on a global scale.

I 100% agree with you. I dont think that GWB has ever liked scientist or those little thinks called facts. He is too busy self indulging in his lets take over the world terrorist ways to have time to talk about doing something that will actually help our world. One day it will catch up with us not taking care of the only place (Earth) we people have to live.......
