Why does God let me get away with it? Shouldn't he just put his foot down and say: "if you do this you're going to hell". But instead I can ask for forgiveness repeatedly and I still get into heaven - even if I were to commit murder.

Since when did God get so wishy-washy?

Typical Christians, they really don't want you going in the backdoor.

A person can't just get away with everything. When a person gives their entire life to God, the Holy Spirit comes into their life after this when a person sins they begin to feel conviction which holds them back from sinning and sinning and sinning. There is always accountability and God will forgive. Now, the final choice of whether we get INto Heaven or not, God makes on Judment Day, God makes the final choice. All may go to Heaven, but not all will get INTO Heaven.

Read Romans 7, then Psalms 51 then Psalm 103 in that order... GBU

Oh Friend, God is Not wishy-washy!
You maybe diecieved by self or another.
God's Grace is sufficient, It's Not an excuse
to sin. If you are a true Christian, bought by the
shed blood of Jesus you would not want to sin in the
first place, you would instead try to live as best you
could for the Lord. I hope you understand what I am saying.
It is important that you know this. Study scripture relating to
God's love and Grace. God bless.

If you really mean it when you ask for God's forgiveness, you'll always get it. We all make mistakes and mess up (even as Christians), so we can definitely take advantage of that. In fact, Jesus covered our sins ahead of time through his death on the cross, so it's dealt with (still important to repent though). But if we abuse that gift by purposely sleeping around, committing mass murders or something else, with that mentality, your heart is definitely not in the right place, and God doesn't bless that. There's a ton of verses in the Bible that talk about how God blesses those who live righteous lives and obey his commandments. If you're not even trying to do that, you're missing out on a lot of benefits and not really capturing what it means to be a Christian. With Jesus in our lives we should want to be more like him and do away with the old sinful things we did. Good question though...hard to answer, but good. I know we all wrestle with it at some point

If you still are looking to get away with as much sin as possible you are totally missing the point and probably have not reached to the point of acknowledging Christ is your only hope of doing anything truly good which is what Christians believe is required for salvation. So no you aren't forgiven.

It's like saying just because your 30 you're mature even if you can't hold down a job stay up all night and only eat junk food. If you were really mature you'd see although these things might be fun for a moment they aren't best for you in the long run.

If this is the attitude you use, then God won't forgive any of your sins!
#1. You shouldn't sin at all, because one might die at anytime- which leaves you no time to ask for forgiveness.
#2. When you ask for forgiveness, you must mean it from your heart! You can't play any jokes on God. He knows you more than you know your self.
#3. I don't think that you can go to heaven if you commit murder, because you would have fooled with anothers life.

Nope. Once you've repented of a sin, if you've truly repented you don't do that sin ever again. If you do all your past sins come back and you aren't getting into Heaven that way. You have to be sincere in your repentance. If your not sincere then it isn't true repentance. You have to have a contrite heart and a willing spirit. God is not wishy washy. Keep trying!!!!

No.

For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins ,

Yes...technically. It does sound weird doesn't it? The idea is that if you really have a relationship with God/The Trinity and love Him you will try NOT to sin. It is very parental. You still took that cookie out of the cookie jar when your Mom told you not to, and she always forgave you, but you felt very guilty and tried not to do it again. The sad thing is that no one has will power like that all the time and people are constantly abusing the privilege and calling themselves Christians in the meantime...Trust me, it is embarrassing.

It seems like an oxymoron, doesn't it. But, I guess the trick is that you never know when your time is up--you could get hit by a truck on your way to work in the morning. So, the best answer is to live in the "image of Jesus" the best you can and ask God for forgiveness for those sins that you do make--and everyone makes them, EVERYDAY!
It's kind of awesome to think there is someone there who will take you as you are--soiled and all. That's the beauty of faith, I guess..

Sure, you can sin to your little heart's delight! You can even ask God for His forgiveness each time.

But, that's NO guarantee that He IS forgiving you.

Let's look at it another way.

Let's say that I come up to you and take something from you. Then, I ask for your forgiveness. And you forgive me. Then, tomorrow, I come up to you and smack you for no reason. Then I ask for your forgiveness, and you do it. The next day, I again take something from you, and then, I ask for your forgiveness. And I keep doing this. How many times are you going to forgive me?

If you are TRULY repentant of your sins, you will STOP DOING THEM. Or, at least, you will attempt, you will work very hard, to stop doing them.
