I dont see Buddhists do it, Hindus, Jewish people, but sometimes Muslim.
Is it because Christianity is the only religion, along with Judaism, directly historical and indirectly doctrinal? Is that why they need no historical discrepancy or else their entire faith falls?

Roottube: point taken. I know some scientists myself that arent convinced by evolution. However, after they have said that, they dont automatically jump to creation. They actually say, "I dont know"

mmathews000 - you're right. It is my opinion that only Christians "grouch" about it but the general trend I see is that most creationists, on Y!A at least, are christians also.
Evolution isnt fact. It was constructed to explain facts, as are all theories are.
I beg to differ on the definition of faith. Maybe you forgot the "withOUT" but if yes, the rest of your paragraph makes sense.

To be fair, Science has its limits. I oppose any scientist that seeks to bring down Christianity or any religion with Science. I dont frown down on faith, only faith in Science. Anyone who holds up Reason above all else is being too bold.

How many Buddhist, Hindus, Jews and Muslims do you live near? The Muslim family across the street from me are not a big evolution fan and our Korean neighbors, who are Chondogyo (Religion of the Heavenly Way) believe along the line of God and creationism. I have Hindu friends in India that we do business with and believe me, they have a thing or two to say about it and they consider both sides wrong. I only have 2 Jewish friends and I don't know where they stand on it.
The links given show there is contention on that subject among Hindus and Muslims as well.
This is a country where the largest religion is Christian. So it is Christians you will hear from. Are you saying the Islamic faith is not directly historical? They share many of the same beliefs Christians and Jews do (monotheism, angels, prayer, creation, etc.)
Our faith will not fall because of something like the THEORY of evolution. That is not what faith is about. Besides, what do you gain by my loss of faith? Nothing. Don't try to take away what gives peace to others without giving something of equal value in return.
BTW, I'm Christian and still believe in evolution and creationism. I teach biology to high schoolers (public) and we discuss both. Believe it or not 95% of the kids believe in God. Gasp! What the heck is the world coming to? How dare they believe in God! I guess I will show them and call them stupid for have dillusions and something so insidious as faith.

Why do evolutionists grouch about Christianity? The first creation museum went up in Kentucky. A 22 million dollar state of the art facility that teaches specific design, not random chance.
Evolutionists are screaming across the country. What do they have to be so afraid of? If we are just a bunch of fruitcakes, why all of the screaming? Afraid of a little healthy competition?
In Kansas, there was a big debate over teaching specific design alongside evolution. Again, more screaming from the evolutionary crowd.
They say specific design is not scientific. I hate to rain on the evolutionist parade, but the people pushing specific design used to be IN the evolutionary camp. SCIENTISTS who say that the evolution theory is BADLY FLAWED, so why not hear them out? Again, more screaming about teaching creation in the schools, saying that it will 'confuse' the children. What happened to free thought?
Let the kids decide for themselves when both sides give their evidence. What is the problem with that?
I know the argument, specific design is not science, but religion. OK, let them PROVE it is religion in a SCIENCE LAB. Chances are that EVOLUTION has more faith involved in it than specific design.
Yes, you are right. as long as not other theories will even be entertained, then yes, evolution can be the only explanation for human origins. I thought science was supposed to be UNBIASED.

Buddhists - Well Buddhists are not really concerned about the past, and they do not have any holy books really so its not a part of their ideology
Hindus - Well actually Evolution fits in really well with Hinduism, in the belief that we start out as a rock or something and then proceed to worms, dogs, etc and eventually humans.
Jewish people - Well c'mon they came up with the Genesis account, but if you haven't noticed the Jews are not really into debating religion. Only the Christian Jews do a bit, but ordinary Jews just keep their religion to private tradition. I was friends with an Israeli girl and from my experience they do not like discussing religion.

No our entire faith does not fall. I used to think that God could have created the earth the way the evolutionists say. After learning more, I believe evolution to be a lie, and a religion all it's own. I could never type enough to thoroughly answer this question. I recommend you watch some creation videos like The Case For A Creator. There is also a web site that has free creation videos. God Bless!!

Well you statement is one of opinion rather than fact. Christians don't grouch about evolution and they're not the only religion that doesn't believe in the theory of evolution.
Evolution still has the major issue of the missing link. We know that evolution is not fact. We defend creationism as opposed to attacking evolution. For everything to just appear out of nothing without a divine intervention is not plausable to just about all Christians.
Faith is the belief in something with having scientific proof. Christianity is based on faith so even if we never get proof, and there are several scientific backings of the creation theory, our religion is not based on science. It is based on faith.

Right. What are you smoking?
"For everything to just appear out of nothing without a divine intervention is not plausable"
Okay, so an infinite universe is implausible, but an infinite entity isn't. Our universe springing from unity is implausible, but a universe spoken into existance isn't.
Right. What are you smoking?
Danny boy, do you have your own bridle, or do they issue them when you attend the fundie farm?
And oh, I have a HOT deal on a bridge for you. Great moneymaker in Brooklyn!

Only as a generalisation. In all honesty, it is the more Zealot Grumps that are so passionate about debunking Evolution.
Don't forget during the Victorian period there was a thriving industry in manufacturing human skeleton where the males are missing a rib. Just to support the Creationialism.

I understand what you are asking, but it wouldn't be fair to single out Christians to disputing "science". Even those within the ranks of science won't agree on the theory. Evolution of higher forms of life is a faith-based theory.

well im christian and i dont grouch about it.
but some of them do because they have a strong feel for their religion.its annoying but thats them.
and also they dont really think about it.they dont know if christianity is "the religion" to follow.other religions say they are "the one" and have proof of it also, but nobody knows.
so just ignore it, but if you know your facts and can debate good, go ahead and fight about.
its not really all that important so i dont think theyll back slap you or anything

Because Christians are the least objective of any religion next to radical Islam (though they're a close rival)
they're so obsessed and blinded by the misconception that their belief is the only right one, that they ignore everything else (hence why they automatically dismiss anything which would contradict otherwise, even if there's sound logic behind it)
