1) Teach evolution as a THEORY. Also include other scientist's research which supports the conclusion that the universe was intelligently designed.
2) There should be a Federal Admendment (decided by the people) stating the definition of marriage: the union of one man and one woman. The state courts are deciding this issue. Legislation should not be decided in the courts. The courts are meant to uphold the law, not make it.
3) Roe vs. Wade is a blot on our society, just like slavery was before the Civil War. This again, should be decided by the people. The act of making life is a choice. The act of killing life is murder.
4) Question #4 is answered by my answer #3
5) "Before God we are all equally wise - and equally foolish." ~Albert Einstein ...there is no doubt in my mind that there is absolutely a God who loves us and is willing to forgive us.
6) Jesus arose from the dead on a Sunday. This is why the Sabbath day is changed from Sat. to Sun. Christians celebrate the risen Lord every week.
7) The history books have been changed to delete Jefferson's belief in God. I think most Democrats think Jefferson was an unbeliever, and that is why they like him...but In a letter dated March 23, 1801, Jefferson wrote: "The Christian Religion, when divested of the rags in which they [the clergy] have enveloped it, and brought to the original purity and simplicity of its Benevolent Institutor, is a religion of all others most friendly to liberty, science, and the freest expansion of the human mind."

1) Evolution in public schools? Should it be banned, allowed but optional, or absolutely required? Should it be taught as a fact, or merely as something most scientists believe today?
I think it should be skimmed over, I just don't see why it is so important that we worry about how we got here.
2) Gay marriage - for or against... or would you rather not vote concerning it? Should there be a federal amendment endorsing/banning it, or should it be left to the states?
Totally for it. I don't think there should be anything endorsing it or banning it, except to make it as legal as straight marriage is.
4) Do you know that quote "Against abortion? Don't have one"?.... What do you think of this one... "Against slavery? Don't have one"
I think the abortion one sums it up, but I think comparing abortion to slavery is like comparing apples and oranges, alike in some ways, but different in so many others.
5) If God is a delusion, then should all Christians receive weekly checks since they are mentally handicapped?
No, just because someone is delusional doesn't make them mentally handicapped.
6) Should the Christian Sabbath be moved to Saturday?
Whatever floats the boat.
7) Do you find it interesting that Thomas Jefferson was a truer Republican than Lincoln, Reagan, and Bush, and yet it is the Democrats who admire Jefferson the most?
No I don't find it interesting.

1) Required, obviously. It's the cornerstone of modern biology, and that's part of the stuff kids should be learning about. It is a fact, and should be taught as such.
2) Absolutely for. No change to the Constitution is required. Banning same-sex marriage is gender discrimination (men can marry women, but women cannot, and vice versa), which is protected against in there already.
3) Abortion should always be an option for any woman who wants to 'have it done.' It is no government's, state or otherwise, right to deny a woman that choice.
4) Slavery involves several people so it can't really be compared straight across to abortion. Not really sure what you're really asking here, though.
5) There is a difference between thinking there is/might be a higher power out there, and believing stuff like the Bible is true. I honestly think some sort of "deprogramming" is in order for people who have been indoctrinated into taking holy books like those seriously/literally, because no rational mind would ever do that all on its own.
6) Who cares? It's not like Christians haven't been writing their own rules from day one. They cherry-picked the crap out of the Bible already, let them move it if they want, I don't care. Just don't try to make it illegal to do business on your sabbath, and I won't react.
7) Wasn't aware of that and don't really have a comment. I'm still largely apathetic to political labels like that. All I know is that the more I read about the Libertarian party, the more I seem to agree with it. *shrugs*
I am staunchly atheist.

wow!! thats alot for one question! Let me see if i can cover all of the subjects....hmmm
1.I believe it should be required but taught only as something that most scientists believe in.
2.Gay Marriage- for it. Everyone has the right to their own pursuit of happiness, whatever that may be. As long as it is not hurting themselves or others. Children need to be able to grow up in a stable home life and regardless of their parents sexual identity, i think it would promote acceptence and tolerance. what a great gift to give the new generation of young people!
3.As for abortion, i believe it would be detrimental to make it illegal. I do believe that there should be limits set, and not by the state, but by the government. Either that or make the "day after pill" more readily available. I believe that if we outlaw abortions, then all that would lead to is women having either self induced abortions or going to people to perform them that are not safe, sanitary or qualified.
4. Really not sure what you mean by this...so i will opt out on an opinion
5. God is not a delusion....but perhaps many christians would benefit from either a shock to the frontal lobe....or some conditioned response......perhaps to gain a little bit of reverance, tolerance and respect for others beliefs.
6. I dont know. The Christian Sabbath is irrelevant to me.
7. I do find that fact interesting, but i also realize that the times were much different back in those times. There were many beliefs that were widely accepted as fact that we find very unacceptable today.
Regardless...Bless Them All
Blessed Be

Too many questions in one man, ask one at a time. Remeber, they invented the short attention span theory. Your cloggin the drain.
#1 Need some proof, not cow peed on a rock carbon dating. Monkies ain't popping into humans today, they're, kinda still monkies.
Now the polotics:
#2 A sexual reproduction took science fingering with stuff. They could have spent that time developing tomato plants that thrive in the desert. Mens kissing on each other don't look right, go with the gut.
#3 I like this one. You can press shift, then #, let off of shift and hit the same key for 3. I have been drinking. Medical science can't agree when conception starts, but God can kill children.
$-oops-4) Slavery belongs to the people who sold it-do some research on that one.
5)No, I have enough taxes, steal some oil revenue from the Arabs, like Bush does. I would prefer to charge them $ for $ for clean drinking water. think about that one
6) only if they find scripture that says the Sabbath = Saturday. I prefer the 28 day moon calender, because then I know when my wife is going to be cranky-consistently. That will give me perspective on a few of the days anyway.
7) I find it interesting that this question doesn't make a lot of sense without saying what you actually mean, wait, that's not interesting.
Democracy though, that has become the men in black, bigfoot, nessie, ufo's. You've heard of them, but you really don't think it exists.

1. It should be required, as it is probably the most important theory in biology. It should be taught as a scientific theory, as should all science. And kids should definitely be taught what a scientific theory actually is, so they don't fall for this 'it's only a theory' bullshit.
2. I don't want one personally, but why should I care if other people do it? Marriage is a legal contract, it shouldn't be based on religious definitions.
3. Roe vs Wade shouldn't be 'repealed' since that's not how case law works. If new legislation is passed, the precedent from Roe vs Wade will no longer be binding. And if people want that new legislation, then of course it should be passed.
4. Slavery is immoral. Humans are self aware beings, and their enslavement is therefore unacceptable. Abortion is not immoral. Many people object to abortion based on emotion, which is a perfectly good reason not to have one, but you can't impose your emotions on other people.
5. No, that's not how delusions are treated.
6. I have no opinion on that.
7. Not really. American history doesn't interest me.
And I don't believe a religion.

1) Taught as fact, with the theory being taught as the best explanation.
2) Legal in some form. Currently banning gay couples from having a legal relationship is against the constitution. (Discrimination based on sexual preference.)
3) Abortion should be legal.
4) Very different situations. a fetus is not a legally recognised person (Or a biblically recognised person come to that) It is recognized as part of the mother. A slave is a independent person.
5) No. Other psyche patients do not.
6) Who cares?
7) At least he was honest and straight. Bush and Reagan were not. (For example, Iran-Contra for Reagan, yellowcake for Iraq by Bush. These are both clear lies.) I think a lot of Democrats admire Lincoln too.
Atheist.

1. Allowed. It should be taught as something scientist believe. A steady approach at first would be more beneficial to receptiveness.
2. Gay marriage...I am for. People are people and this is a country of freedom. For the record I am not gay.
3. Abortion should not be allowed. We should learn to control ourselves. Even if it was an accident.
4. True. If you are against it then why would you decide to do it.
5. No, God is not a delusion. People just see God differently.
6. No, the 7th day is the day that God took to rest. I believe that is Sunday.
7. Sure...

1) Evolution is the foundation of modern biology. It should be taught in schools by showing children the mountains of supporting evidence behind it. Creationism/"Intelligent Design" is nonsense and should not be taught in schools unless it is in a class on ancient mythology.
2) I don't see why homosexuals want marriage. It means nothing to most heterosexuals. Most marriages end in divorce. Marriage has no real meaning any more.
If homosexuals want civil unions so that their sex partners can share their health insurance, then I really don't care about the issue enough to stop them. I think most heterosexuals would be better off just getting civil unions, too.
I believe the purpose of marriage should be to form a stable environment for two parents to raise children together. In practice today, that isn't what marriage really is. More often, it's basicly a form a dating and living/sleeping together that ends after a few years.
3) The current abortion laws in the US are insane. If a mother is having identical twins, goes into premature labor and has one, and the doctors manage to delay the other birth so that she carries it to full term, the two identical twins are then in a situation where it is legal to kill one (abortion) but not the other (infanticide). Why two identical twins should have different rights based solely on their location is beyond my comprehension.
If a mother in the third trimester cannot carry the child to full term or refuses to for some reason, why is it okay to chop the child in pieces and suck out its brains before removing it? A child at that stage of development can survive with medical treatment. It should be kept alive. Not dismembered and thrown in the trash.
4) The terms pro-life and pro-choice in reference to the abortion issue are nonsense. More accurate descriptions would be fetuses-are-humans and fetuses-are-not-humans. That would actually encourage people to look at the science before making their decisions.
5) People should never be encouraged to be stupid. Don't pay them to be religious zealots.
6) How in the nine hells does the day of the week matter? If an almighty being is going to smite you for worshiping him on the wrong day of the week, then why would you want to worship him in the first place? Doesn't that seem just a little evil, selfish, and violent to you?
Surely that would be the last thing an almighty being would care about.
7) I don't think most people today know much of anything about what happened before they were born. If you asked the average person on the street 20 questions about Jefferson's life, I'd be surprised if they averaged more than 2 correct answers.
I'm a nontheist. God is irrelevant.

1) absolutely required. taught as a fact. but so too should the fact that some people don't believe in it!
2) for it. i think it's ridiculous that we still can't accept it.
3) allowed everywhere. call me a crazy liberal, but hello, the choice should always be available.
4) ooh, wow. i don't even know how to answer that, that's a very good point. but no, you know what, abortion does not have to do with hurting a mature, live human being. slavery does. i really don't think it's the same thing.
5) hah. well who said god is a delusion. although some qualities i've seen in radical fundamentalists and such...i believe they could use some weekley checks.
6) no.
7) i find it very interesting. just shows how the times change. if republicans emulated jefferson in this day and age, i would be a republican. too bad it can't be so.
oh, and i'm jewish.
