I can't wait to see these answers. And you can't just answer with one word. Explain WHY one came before the other. And without using Bible quotes, please, because those are just boring and you're not thinking for yourself when you use one. I just want an opinion.

God has always been. He is the Beginning and the End , the Alpha and the Omega. God is a spiritual entity. He exists outside of the three-dimensional, physical world in which we live.
God is a being that is unlimited in time, and He has access to every piece of time as if it were now, the question of who created God is an invalid question. The problem is like asking a student to draw a four-sided triangle. The terminology is self-contradictory.
When asked “Who or what created God?,” we are making the assumption that God was created. God exists outside of time and space, and He is the Creator of time and space, He obviously was not created! God began the beginning!

He created the universe, plants, animals and then man.

God came before everything since He never had a beginning or an end. All things are created by Him and for Him.

As far as not using the Bible that would be absurd. Since I know God personally and know the Bible is His word, the verses concerning these things you ask give the answers you need to hear.

Since it is clearly revealed that God created Adam and Eve, and prior to that the earth was without form and void and there was nothing living on this planet until God began His creative work.

You are bored because you don't know the God who inspired men to write His words to clear up the fog of ignorance that surrounds the human soul that regards everything through a sin tainted intellect and heart. In short, your finite intelligence can't stretch to see spiritual and infinite things until you have an encounter with God Himself.

Prior to my salvation I was a very intellectual and analytical person, and it was difficult for me to get past my brain and to exercise childlike faith in God. A high IQ is one of the biggest
barriers to accessing spiritual truth. What so many so-called wise people on this planet can't get a grip on is that a child can grasp God's love and grace in a heartbeat while adults stumble over it.

God is the only person who never had a beginning and never will have an end. He is eternal, perfect and infinite and vastly beyond our human intellect. The Bible makes it abundantly clear that it is faith and faith alone that will bring a revelation of God to us when we are ready to let Him reveal Himself to us individually. Hebrews 11:6 says that "without faith it is IMPOSSIBLE to please Him, because he that comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who DILIGENTLY seek Him."

EDIT: I DIDN'T THINK YOU WOULD LIKE MY ANSWER OR IS IT SOMEONE ELSE. I OFTEN WONDER WHY SOME PEOPLE ASK QUESTIONS THAT THEY DON'T WANT TO KNOW THE TRUTH ABOUT! DOGMATISM IS WRONG IN ALL EXPERIENCES OF KNOWLEDGE IN LIFE AND IT ALLOWS NOTHING TO MOVE IT FROM IT'S STANCE. I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANY PROOF THAT EVOLUTION OR SCIENCE DISPROVES CHRISTIANITY OR I WOULD HAVE
CHANGED LONG AGO. 33+ YEARS OF WALKING WITH THE LORD HAS SOLIDIFIED TRUTH FOR ME AND THAT WITHOUT BEING DOGMATIC! IT IS A VERY SAD THING THAT SOME PEOPLE HAVE STUNTED THEIR SPIRITUAL AND INTELLECTUAL GROWTH AND CEASED TO STRETCH THEIR HORIZONS BEYOND THEIR OWN SMALL REASONING.

After reading the well thought out answers (sarcasm), I will answer your question with as much respect for it as I can muster.

I believe that God existed before man or anything else. There was a time in my life when I did not believe that God existed...or that he gave a darn about us if he did exist. I went to church regularly (it was expected) and I even studied the Bible but it just didn't make sense to me. Then one Sunday about three and half years ago while attending church with my son and family, God spoke to my heart. Tears welled up in my eyes and my voice croaked hoarsely as I tried to sing the last song of the day. There had been nothing special about the service...and I had attended church there many times before so it was not merely an emotional reaction to something new or different. My life was not in crisis. For days, I was torn between wanting to reach out to God and wanting to ignore his drawing me to Him. Frankly, it was a little scary. I sensed the same words repeating over and over again in my mind. "I am here. Come to me" Finally, almost in anger...I said...OK, so you're here. Now what? In that fleeting moment, my life was changed forever.

Now, I have a very real and very personal relationship with the Creator of all things. Every day He proves his existance to me and every day I learn something new about Him and about myself. I have moved away from attending church because to me they (organized religions) are made by man...not by God. He has become my guide, my advisor, my protector, my healer and my best friend. He has intervened on my behalf more times that I can remember. He has performed miracles in my life and I sense His presence with me at all times. He has led me in my beliefs (and I am way outside what is considered traditional). To me, the Bible is a book of concepts from God but is also comprised of the thoughts of men. I count only on God himself....and the things He has led me to believe. Does it make sense? No. But it is true never the less.

Well there's no real "right" answer to this (despite what dogmatic Christians will immediately say)

I will say this as well...your question is implying that monotheistic belief is the norm (which is the case in Western civilization) but typically Eastern religions don't share this view

that being said, in more general terms, I believe that man defines his/her own religion in how they see fit, so therefore man before "god" because there's multiple religions, so its impossible for the supreme being for every religion on earth to have existed before man did.

I think some flying trees made people.

Okay, serious now: i think man made god as an explanation to life. As an excuse for bad things, afterlife, fear of death, etc.... God is a scapegoat.Take for example goats. People in the dark ages used to buy a goat, "put" their sins unto the goat, and push it off a cliff (hence the word "scapegoat"). People do the same with gods. Just an excuse for the scientific world.

some say god created man in his image... others say man created god in his image. it's a good question to ask to see wether a person is athiest or religious. as fo me, i think man thought up a "god."

Man came first. Humans needed something to explain what they saw because there was no scientific explanation to a group of people ignorant of science. They saw someone die after eating something, it must be that the god(s) don't want them to eat it. They see the sun come up every morning, it must be because the god in the heaven was pleased with them.

It continued throughout the generations until these spoken stories were written down.

God gets the credit for good things and blamed for bad things, thus alleviating the need for personal responsibility. He is all-knowing and all-powerful and we are at his mercy.

I prefer to think for myself and I believe that man came first and created god for a multitude of reasons.

We are as eternal as the God Himself. God is senior to us in every other aspect, but not in age.

Be comfortable now. There is at least one field where we can challange God.

man. we created god to answer all the questions science had not yet answered. we created him cause sickness and mental illnesses we couldn't explain were the works of some evil god. we created god because deep down we all want to think there is some all powerful parent figure watching out for us all. we created god and devils to blame the worlds evils on and to have some great spirit to save us in the end. its called desperation. fear of the unknown.

Your question is moot because there is no choice. Christian Dogma consistently portrays and states the Christian God a Man. Therefor a man created man.
