Im Oneness Apostolic and believe Jesus is God but i dont agree witht the Trinity concept. I study very hard and know my bible and history. Im a Truth seeker.
Through my studies, i Noticed that not all Trinitarians share the same view about what the Trinity is. I have come to find TWO different views of the Trinity among Trinitarians.
View # 1:
The Trinity is the Godhead comprised of Three SEPERATE distinct persons. Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. The Father is not the Son, the Son is not the Holy Ghost etc. All are Co-Equal, Co-Eternal. All are God.Baptism in name Father, Son, Holy Ghost.
View # 2:
The Trinity is Father, Son, and Holy Ghost who are distinct from eachother in their Function but are NOT SEPERATE 3 Persons ut ONE. All are the One God in three MANIFESTATIONS. Their is One True God. Baptism in name Father, Son, Holy Ghost
View # 2 is very close to my belief except i believe in Baptism in Jesus name.
Which View holds to what you believe about the Trinity?

If you believe in View # 1 then you hold the ORIGINAL belief of what the Trinity is which stems from Philosophy, Babylon, Egypt and the Councils
If you believe in View # 2 then you are close to that of Oneness Apostolic / Pentecostals, which is what i am
One person in the Godhead who is the Father, manifested himself in flesh (Jesus), Three manifestations but not three persons. One God who is above all and took on flesh HIMSELF and did not send someone else to die in his place, God is against sacrificeing your own child so why would he Sacrifice Jesus if God was against sacrificing your own child, God is the Father and the Father put on flesh, yet the flesh was on the cross but the Spirit (God) remained untouched.

I believe that Jesus Christ was God in the flesh yet it was impossible for all of God to be in Christ as his spirit fills the universe. God was still in heaven the same time he was in Christ walking on this earth.
Jesus was the Son of God in that he was flesh also. Yet the bible says the Holy Ghost overshadowed Mary and she gave birth. The spiritual essence of the Holy Ghost and the Father
are the same as well as the same essence that was in Jesus. When you say Jesus you are saying the name of God.
There is no other name, there is no other God. Jesus is God represented in the flesh.
Water Baptism is to be done in the NAME the trouble with trinitarians is they never use the name they repeat the command to baptize in the NAME of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit but they never use the name.
Iam a Father, Son, and Husband but none of those is my name. Most christians worship a God that has no name or they do not know what the name of their God is they are confused over who God is.
The Apostles understood perfectly when Jesus said " Baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit " they obeyed the command in the book of Acts by baptizing all in Jesus name.
The trinity brings much confusion and a wrong formula to them the Godhead is 1 + 1 +1 = 3 however the true formula is
1 x 1 x 1 = 1

Did someone say to ignore the Bible and study the Quran.....
I have a hard time with a book that completely excludes the word love as opposesed to the Bible which is summed up as Love God and love others.
That may help to clear up some of the current world affairs. there are pleanty of Christians that do not demonstrate love, but they are clearly not in line with scripture, if a person studying the Quran does not demonstrate love, they are in line with the doctrine.
As far as the word trinity not being in the Bible as an argument for the concept not being true, what a weak argument. HOW ABOUT I SEND YOU TO LOOK UP ANOTHER WORD THAT I KNOW IS NOT IN THE BIBLE...
THE MAGIC WORD IS...........
"BIBLE" - The Bible must not be biblical because the word "Bible" does not appear in the Bible.
John 10:30 "I and the Father are one"
The expressions of God as the one God who has 3 expressions who are eternally distinct is a hard concept. A good start is to study the reason for the 3 expressions.
Study topics such as - Blood covenant, old test apperances of Christ (Christ is eternal - Jesus was born) etc.
An example is how the Angel of the Lord appeared to Moses in the form of a burning bush and then God (the Father) looks and speaks through the same bush. (it takes some attention to detail....)
In Christ

Are you aware that you gave NO scriptural support for your concept of the trinity? Could it be because the Bible does not support such a concept of God?
Let me briefly lay out for you what most people believe about the trinity:
1. There are said to be three divine persons—the Father, the Son, and the holy spirit—in the Godhead.
2. Each of these separate persons is said to be eternal, none coming before or after the other in time.
3. Each is said to be almighty, with none greater or lesser than the other.
4. Each is said to be omniscient, knowing all things.
5. Each is said to be true God.
6. However, it is said that there are not three Gods but only one God.
Keep in mind that the Scriptures are “inspired of God” and are to be used for “setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16, 17) So the Bible is complete in doctrinal matters. If the Trinity doctrine is true, it should be there.
I invite you to search the Bible, especially the 27 books of the Christian Greek Scriptures, to see for yourself if Jesus and his disciples taught a Trinity. As you search, ask yourself:
1. Can I find any scripture that mentions “Trinity”?
2. Can I find any scripture that says that God is made up of three distinct persons, Father, Son, and holy spirit, but that the three are only one God?
3. Can I find any scripture that says that the Father, Son, and holy spirit are equal in all ways, such as in eternity, power, position, and wisdom?
Search as you may, you will not find one scripture that uses the word Trinity, nor will you find any that says that Father, Son, and holy spirit are equal in all ways, such as in eternity, power, position, and wisdom. Not even a single scripture says that the Son is equal to the Father in those ways—and if there were such a scripture, it would establish not a Trinity but at most a “duality.” Nowhere does the Bible equate the holy spirit with the Father.
The reason the Bible does not clearly teach the Trinity doctrine is simple: It is not a Bible teaching. Had God been a Trinity, he would surely have made it clear so that Jesus and his disciples could have taught it to others. And that vital information would have been included in God’s inspired Word. It would not have been left to imperfect men to struggle with centuries later.
BTW, Jesus is not God. He is God's Son. John 10:36

View #1 with all due respect.
Jesus wasnt praying to himself. And how can he sit to the right of himself in Heaven? Also who was speaking from Heaven at Jesus' baptism? Was Jesus performing a ventriloquist act? Why would he ask himself why he has forsaken himself on the cross? Why would he say that nobody has seen the Father in his true form except for himself? None of that really makes sense.
There is a mountian of evidence to suggest that the trinity is indeed God in 3 persons, yet 1 in essence.

My answer is far down the list of many, but I will tell you of a Truth.
God is Three in ONE.....and the suprising thing is that both viewpoints are True
We are Created in His Image.
Let me explain:
God has a Spiritual form (The Father) much as you have a physical form.
God has a Spoken Word (The Son) as you also have a spoken word. If someone were to close their eyes and not see your physical form, and just hear you, they would still hear YOU...because your word... is you in another manifestation.
God has a Spirit of Action (The Holy Spirit) as you also have this spirit of action. If you were to throw a baseball, it is YOU who have thrown it. This action is a manifestation of YOU. If I could not see, or hear you...yet felt the ball being thrown, I would still have felt your "presence". Whenever the HOLY spirit manifested in the bible, some action took place.
Jesus was the WORD of LAW of GOD that condemmed Man: "Thou shalt not eat of the tree".....Because God Cannot lie, the only way for Man to have salvation after this utterance from God is if God had never said those words......That is why Jesus...the Word of LAW came....and died.
And now the "Law of the Tree" does not exist...for it was cut off for all who believe. And we can enter once again into paradise.
God is Three
and God is ONE
As are each of us.
In His image.

My brother don't fret about this. You love the Lord and that is what is most important. However you did say you are seeking truth so here goes.
First I always remind folks to let the scriptures breathe don't smother them and they will answer most of our questions. In the new testament God(the father) makes it very clear that he indeed sacrificed the mortal life of (God the Son) for our sins. He said it was the only way to satisfy the spiritual justice code that he himself established in the mist of angels and later men.
Keep in mind that Satan is also one of the angels who keeps track of God's codes to see if he can find a loophole. Did you know that even Satan and his demons have God given rights as does all God's created beings? Any way Jesus prayed to the (Father God) when he was on earth. But here is and interesting thought you should definitely keep close to your heart. God said this concerning Jesus 'This is My Son of whom I am well pleased'. Jesus said if you reject the Son you are in fact rejecting the Father. Jesus also said you may blaspheme the Son and be forgiven but if you blaspheme the Holy Spirit it will not be forgiven. In affect GOD(the Father) insist that his (first family)Godhead be worshiped simultaneously. In other words don't dis any member of the Godhead. Remember GOD is a COMMUNITY unto himself.
God Bless

I believe view #2. The concept of baptism is strange. I believe that we are baptised with the spirit when we accept Jesus Christ. So we are baptised in Jesus name, but we are baptised with the spirit, and it doesnt involve water. Water is just symbolic of our showing others that we believe. Water is not comanded but something that we do by choice.
Well I believe they are 3 persons combined in one. They are all independant and they are all one. Its a hard concept. God the father is not God the Son who is not God the holy spirit. All three are one entity, but they are not the same. They all combine to form one God. Jesus said I will send you a helper (holy spirit) he did not say I will return as the holy spirit.

How come no person ever seems for a Greek immigrant to study it in the unique and get their opinion? I did that to numerous. this is much greater helpful than your pastor. here is what I discovered: historical Bible Greek compares to trendy Greek in the same way an English speaker can study the two present day English and King James English, this is how close they are. All of my contacts verify that ONE God is being reported and the endings of the nouns show that the two the emblems and God are the region, as detrimental to one being the region and the different being the article. in the JW's NWT there is just one place, John a million:a million the place they mistranslate the noun 'theos' without the particle as 'a god'. the same Greek noun 'theos' is used ten circumstances in the Westcott and Hort Greek text fabric without the particle 'ho' (the) and the NWT consistently interprets it as 'God' different than in John a million:a million the place they like it to be 'a...god'. the two my own know-how of Greek and the confirmation by using Greek persons, I even have been made conscious that in the event that they like to translate that verse back into Greek, they might desire to alter the Greek as a manner to make the emblems the region and 'a god' the article of the word. this is, in the event that they like it to study 'a god' the Greek might desire to study 'theon'. even though it does not. It says 'theos' and has no want of the particle. The Watchtower translation of that verse is faulty and it disregards thoroughly the adventure of a organic Greek speaker. Translations, exceptionally much universally, agree that it is going to maximum actually be translated as 'and God grow to be the interest'.

There is so much of 1 in 2 and vice versa, I honestly don't see that much of a distinction.
It does not matter if you are baptised in Jesus' name or in the name of the Father, son and holy spirit. They are one.
