Why can I heal others but fail to heal myself?

Question

I am a healer through the ever abundant power of the one true God...well he's given me gifts to do anything to help others remove physical, emotional pain in a matter of minutes. It may seem out there but I have actually raised the dead by the power of Yeshua..

I however am stuck with chronic pain I have had for 4+ years. Before I became involved in healing and spirituality.

I am ardent in my beliefs but I do not understand why I have carried the burden.

My conclusion to this is that I want so badly to help others not feel the way and in doing so I can heal others by my own faith when they have none or need help..

What do you think?

Why can't I heal my own physical pain and anxiety but can do it for others? It's horrible beyond reason.

I am open to answers from all spiritual practices -

Have seen every doctor there is to see, and had every test there is to have, taken many medications...now on narcotic meds that do not make it completely relieved and drag me into dependency.

!! For the record I do not heal from myself alone I heal by the Father who empowers the Son that gave us the Holy spirit. . .

There have been many roads,ever since I was born I was empathic but I didnt know what it was. I know I am with the God that is true.

- Please don't take that as an insult if you are a pagan. I respect your beliefs.

I am also part of a group of people that use the spirit in many different ways. Each having their own gift. It's called the Healing Room. Where many people to come to to be healed.

I have had other healers attempt to take it away however it was temporary relief or no relief at all...Though they can heal others as I can. I believe it is possible for me to be better I just don't know how.

But if I must endure this I will on behalf of whatever is out there that gave me this gift.

I also have other gifts given to me but healing is the main one I use.

The other most powerful one would be faith - which seems to with both my dad and I.

I would offer advice but because of your statement about "the one true God" I doubt my words would mean much to you.

I do not doubt that you have been given gifts. I also would like to apologize for some of the others who have judged you, for it is not any of our places.

I cannot answer your question but I do agree with some of the others that maybe you should seek the help of other healers or spiritualists. It was always my understanding that individuals with gifts are unable to use their gifts on them selves or we would all be millionaires...lol. I also have understood from others that a healer often takes the pain of others, but if I understood, you had the pain before you began to heal. I sometimes think the saying "What doesn't kill us only makes us stronger" might apply to you. The horrible pain that you suffer makes you stronger in your faith and your want to help others.

Seek the help of others with the gift. I will pray for you, though I am not a healer it couldn't hurt. Be in Peace!

Well I would have to say that God works through our weaknesses and if you thought you can heal others so why not yourself (I understand you had to word it some way but really look at the way you worded this question)and you will see that God is the power to all your blessings and you are blocking him from healing you because you think you or some one else can when all you need to do is ask God and know that if you believe it will happen

First of, you're are being contradictory to yourself. You want others to believe in you and your healing power, but you can't seems to believe in yourself.

A simple analogy, you cannot give love to someone if you don't love yourself first. You can't help anyone if you don't know how to help yourself. So it's true in the art of healing. To heal is not only to believe in it's power but most of all the trust in yourself to heal.

At this point my brother, stop trying to heal yourself. It's obvious you have no faith or believe in yourself. It's time for you to follow the yellow brick road and believe in another higher power call the DOCTORS - whom happen to gather in a healing house call the HOSPITAL.

I beg you, take that journey to that bright lights of the doctor's office. You have my blessing. Go my child, I think everyone here at Answers want you to go. Go and don't look back until your physical pain and whatever anxiety you have are completely gone. Then maybe you don't feel horrible beyond reason about yourself.

IT sounds like you may be one of those that suffer for their gift. In rare cases where healing is given (rare enough as is) the healer suffers pain and other side affects in essence they take the the pain from the person into themselves. God Bless

Maybe you need another christians faith to join with yours for your healing? Have you had someone else come and use the "laying on of hands" for YOUR healing? The person should first be living a holy life before G-d with no unconfessed sin and have covered themselves in prayer and maybe some days of fasting as well, depending on the source of the affliction... so that any spiritual evil will not be imparted through the opening of spiritual channels. When you pray, or release someone from sin, sickness, pain or disease by laying on of hands, you have to open up spiritual pathways and must be protected and covered by the blood
of the lamb of G-d (Jesus, our Messiah).

You cannot heal yourself only God can. You are not healing others, God is working through you. God gives us many things and the miracle of medicine is one of them. Do not think you are doubting your faith by going to a doctor. If you had a patient that you knew needed medical attention you would tell them to seek a physician's help right? Just like Jesus was a carpenter, physicians have occupations that are useful to men. You've heard the one about the woman who prayed to God to help her win the lottery. He finally told her. 'I will help you, but you must buy a ticket first.'

The real gift is to see that pain is not something to get rid of. It is usually a messenger that is telling you that something needs your attention. If you go to it with curiosity, and respond to what is needed, or get the message it can go.

On that same token, perhaps each time you save someone from pain you are robbing them of the opportunity to learn. To encourage them to discover what their body needs, or what is out of balance in their being or their life.

What I see is the one thing you cant be with, and see God in is Pain.

There is no place God isn't and no thing that is not an opportunity to grow and learn.

I believe in spiritual gifts given to people by God, but raising the dead? Pllllleeeeaase! Only Jesus has conquered death. Only God/Jesus can create life, and bring life back. Be careful whose power you are receiving. Satan is very cunning and deceptive and transforms himself as an angel of light (biblical). Healing comes from God, the great physician. God bless

Faith.
Faith is the SUBSTANCE of things (like healings) hoped for.

The Holy Spirit has to have Enough Faith to Heal you.
As we get Older in the Lord WE Learn things and then WE have to accomplish some things.
Like gettting enough FAITH (a real Spiritual Substance) into our Spirits so GOD will have what HE needs to Heal Us.

When you are Letting GOD work through you (the Annointing) to Heal Others, GOD uses the Faith in their Spirits to Heal them OR GOD gives them the Gift of Faith to help them.

Now why dosent' GOD give you the Gift of Faith ( a measure of the substance of FAITH to get the job done) so that YOU can get Healed?
Why? Cause you have Grown and Learned too much!
You don't Spoon Feed Adults (if nothing is wrong with them) you let them Feed Themselves or they will starve!
Be kinda funny (weird) to spoon feed your own son or daughter if their 35 years old wouldn't it?

Gotta get enough of the SUBSTANCE of FAITH in your Spirit to get the job done.

Now I will tell you a Secret.
Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of GOD.
When you READ your Bible with your Eyes, you HEAR a voice inside of you Pronouncing EVERY WORD and you HEAR the WORD (Jesus).

Now Read Proverbs (chap. 4 I think)---it says to KEEP these WORDS in FRONT of your EYES for they are LIFE AND HEALTH to ALL OF YOUR FLESH!

I BELIEVE you can READ yourself WELL according to the Bible. KJV.

It is a common thing with healers that they are capable of healing others but not themselves. I have no answer as to why. Maybe you should seek another healer for yourself.
